Last night, Mitch McConnell came out and said "The case is so darn weak coming over from the House. We all know how it's going to end. There is no chance the president is going to be removed from office." What’s next for the democrats when impeachment fails in the senate? Will they stop trying to find ways to impede and obstruct this administration, or will they move on to some new accusation to yodel until November 2020? Do the house democrats have any legislation they will be focusing on for the coming year? With the news cycle being completely dominated by Russian collusion / Ukranian Quid pro Quo since the President took office, the public doesn’t really have any idea what Congress has actually been working on, and if anything will come from this congress before the next election.

This 116th Congress is on target to surpass the Republican 115th for the amount of business conducted by January. The Democrat majority will have done more in one year than Republicans did in two. They're averaging something like 28 actions per day, compared to the 115th's 17.

Given that Impeachment will likely stall and/or fail in the Senate, and either way the chances of him getting forcibly removed from office are slim, expect there to be no change in the current order of business. Mueller clearly wanted to charge him with Obstruction of Justice but couldn't because of DoJ regulations, When Donald Trump is no longer President, whenever that may be, there is a very good chance he will face charges. And "Individual-1" is already an unindicted co-conspirator in New York. And that is just Trump. He has a phalanx of grifters around him, who have committed their own misdeeds.

Your side needed to be on its best behavior. Instead, everyone pretty much acted true to form and engaged in unprecedented corruption. So how do you think this ends? That they get away. A lot of people are going to go to jail, and you're going to watch it happen, fully aware that your side made their malfeasance okay.

When the next democratic Attorney General comes up for vote in the Senate, they will be asked if they intend to pursue Trump-era figures. They will not answer, but every Democratic candidate already has pledged to do so. And if this set fails, then the next set will as well. So there is no happy ending for you.

But that is what your acceptance of, well, the evil acts of evil men, plainly deserves.
