I don't really think you can consider any developer that makes 1 great game to be the best. It takes multiple amazing games to earn that title. For instance From Software has made 5 Soulsbourne games this past decade and no one has surpassed them even though many devs have tried. That indicates that they truly are the pinnacle of that genre.

On the other hand there actually haven't been many games like The Witcher 3 that have come out since 2015. Also I don't believe Cyberpunk 2077 will be The Witcher 3 with guns, but I do hope/expect it to be a game of similar quality.

There have been a multitude of open world games since Witcher 3 came out.

Also, its cute that you somehow think that you are "officially" the judge of whether or not they're considered the best of anything, but your opinion is no more relevant than anyone else's. And the idea that they'd have to make like, 4 or 5 more games or whatever to prove themselves to you is a joke.

I try not to fall victim to hype anymore, been disappointed so many time. But System Shock being one of my all time favorites, it's impossible for me. So I guess that.

For me it's definitely Last of Us 2, Cyberpunk, Bloodlines 2 and Bannerlord.

Another interesting one that hasn't been mentioned is Beyond Good and Evil 2, I think it's set for 2020? Although I'm not particularly hyped for that one.

Also looking forward to hearing about Guerilla Games next game (hoping to see more of Horizon's world) as well as what's next for Outer Worlds.

Considering Diablo III was released 4 years after it was announced (and yes, the announcement included a playable demo as well), and that they were hard pressed to announce it earlier rather than later because of the negativity that's been surrounding the company, I would say you're getting way ahead of yourself. At the very best it would release late 2021, more likely 22 or 23.

WoW: Shadowlands and I guess Animal Crossing is about it. I'm not even big on AC as a game, but they're still relaxing fun.
