Imagine desperately trying to fit into 'non-existent' climate change agenda an article then doesn't even have single word about climate in it. Because of such poor attempts people turn their backs on environmentalists. The article is about lack of funding and trade wars hurting farmer's businesses, not about climate change fucking them up

What did our ancestors do 125k years ago to stop and then revert the ultra rapid heating up of the planet? Did they abandon fossil fuels and go solar?
Can we get some scientists on this already?

That "ultra rapid heating up" was occurring somewhere around 20x slower than current warming is already at, today. This is also occurring at the already-warm peak of an interglacial period, whereas the warming from a glacial period to an interglacial starts off at the coldest point in the cycle.

Comparing the two as if there's similar is pretty fundamentally dishonest.

    Not going to happen.

There are no commercially viable fusion reactor and in the current political climate no communities will allow one of these to be built within 100 miles of them.

The majority of power plants that are being built right now are next gen natural gas power plants. The kind that can be turned on and off with a flick of a switch. The only type of power plants that can play nice with solar and wind.

But....But.....climate change. How could they be wrong? It's science.
Science adjusts to new discoveries. Crazy, right? Imagine it was like the stubborn religion you lot claim it to be... oh wait.

According to NASA (and other sources) the Antarctic is growing faster than it is shrinking. This information is probably (more than likely ) coming from satellite data.

Watermelon (pink/red) snow in the Artic region has a tremendous impact on melting as well. This was documented by Aristotle, a little over 2300 years ago. But wasn’t scientifically identified as algae until the early 1800’s, about 200 year ago. Surely this algae is contributing somewhat to the melt of the artic ice since it absorbs solar heat/radiation.

Of course climate change can be stopped but the soonest that it could be stopped is in maybe a hundred or a couple hundred years. Because even after we invent superior alternatives to fossil fuels, it will still take quite some time for the CO2 to leave the atmosphere. That is if people even want to return to a pre-industrial CO2 PPM at that point. Future people probably won't even want to go back to the older historical values.
It can be stopped right now, but again, its becease it affects the capitalist class, which is somehow a big problem top you.
We can't wait a few decades, or 100s of years like you want, you have no solutions.

"But severe weather has compounded problems in agriculture-heavy parts of the Fed’s Ninth District, which covers Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, including an early frost that has made it difficult to gauge 2019 crop yields."

    Reading is hard.

PS Fusion power could be decades away and the same group of idiots denying climate change will fight against fusion power because it hurts their short term profits.

Now that's a guy with a keen interest in the scientific method.

Should we have adapted to the environment when our industry was causing acid rain? No, we enacted policy to reduce the emissions and impact on the environment we live in.

Isn't what the republican are pushing thou? That they're lies have the same merit that the truth base on facts found in science? Because that's the whole DeVos shtick right there.

Not "the scientific community". Some particular scientists. With the caveats of "with current technology and costs". Which didn't turn out to hold true, as new technologies provided new options.

And that technological bump just changes where the tipping point is. Fossil fuels are a limited resource. They take millions of years to produce, and decades to exploit and destroy. That's not sustainable, obviously.

Yeah, this is just completely wrong, and demonstrates that you likely haven't ever looked at any scientific reports on climate change. Here's the most comprehensive in recent history, so you can catch up with the absolute basics; https://www.ipcc.ch/report/ar5/wg1/

Literally every claim you made there is false.

And those people are knee-jerking based on a lack of comprehension, and a choice to remain willfully ignorant.

That's not something to be applauding.

Mmm yeah you mean relocating industry to china, that helped a lot, but can you do this trick again with power plants?

    Rural America says we're fucked

Fallout from the trade war has hit America’s farms hard, with bankruptcies soaring nationally in September to their highest level since 2011, even as the stock market has punched higher on optimism about a limited U.S.-China trade pact, including on Friday when stocks extended a push into record territory and the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.46% briefly topped a 29,000 milestone.

But severe weather has compounded problems in agriculture-heavy parts of the Fed’s Ninth District, which covers Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, northwestern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, including an early frost that has made it difficult to gauge 2019 crop yields.

“We haven’t been able to get a good number,” Ford said of the harvest, due to the frost and a propane shortage that meant “a lot didn’t get out of the field.”
those floods in 2019 really did a number on our local crops.

It was 80F here...but climate change isn't a thing because one national park overestimated the rate of change I guess. A hotter climate is proceeded by extreme highs and lows.

As the climate heats up, the barrier between the cold air in the Arctic/Antarctic grows weaker. So that cold air descends early and stronger, bringing colder winters. At the same time, all that cold air brings extreme spring-like conditions a lot earlier. What follows is a lot of moisture in the air, which cools in the winter, heats up in summer, creating extreme low pressure systems in both. Those low-pressure systems add energy to Arctic systems, which descended earlier and earlier each year, creating a chain reaction.

You ever have a broken freezer that frosts over? Its because a shit ton of hot/humid air gets into the system and creates an extremely cold environment. Which is fine and dandy until all that ice and expelled energy have to go somewhere. Your freezer burns itself out and you end up with water everywhere.
