    Best keyboards.

I'm looking for a keyboard. What do you recommend that's not too expensive? I'm not looking for a gaming keyboard, I just want one that's good for typing.

I already have a Logitech K120 and a Microsoft Wired 600, so I'm looking for something cheap.

At that price point they are all equally bad.

But you're far better off upping your budget to the 50$ range and getting one of the better ones of these, in Blue or Brown switches:

All these "gaming" keyboards... Makes someone look like a tryhard noob imo, anyone good at typing wont need backlit crap.

Backlighting makes typing, even for a skilled typist (i do well over 80wpm even on bad keyboards and well over 100 on a keyboard with browns), quite a bit easier in low light environments.

In the budget range he's looking at, there's nothing better to buy. Certainly, not pure "typists" keyboards.

If he were willing to spend real money, i'd recommend something from DasKeyboard or another "typists" brand, but they dont really exist in this price range.

Thanks for your irrelevant and ignorant response, though.

    Sure was helpful.

Go with Logitech K800 Wireless Illuminated Keyboard — Backlit Keyboard, Fast-Charging, Dropout-Free 2.4GHz Connection.

The Microsoft ergonomic keyboard and Fellowes ergonomic keyboard has ruined me for any other keyboards for gaming or typing but I would like it if they were back lit to make them easier to see. I use the Microsoft one at home and Fellowes one at work.

I currently use the Logitech G213 keyboard and have been for a few months, excellent keyboard with great responsive mechanical keys. Comes with RGB setting if you wish to use or you don't have to. Nice keyboard and high recommend

Cheap? Ajazz AK33. That is, if you're fine with the 75% layout. Want rgb, that'll be 30€ and some change. Don't want any lighting whatsoever, take a few euros off the price. You got blue and black switches as your options in this case. Quality wise it's no different to my corsair k95 keyboard. For anything cheap, aliexpress is your friend.

I am still using this one, cola, water and tomato juice dropped on it, cleaned it and it still works like a beast. Best keyboard I ever had.

On-topic: Honestly, just go to a store and get a feel. They're all good quality for the most part. And if you're only goal is cheap, then I would check amazon. Red Dragon make a few knock-off keyboards, and they're fairly well-reviewed.

I've really enjoyed the Corsair K70 and K95 I've used over the last 5 years or so.

Since i am coding more than gaming I will never buy a mechanical keyboard, I am much faster on lower keys like on this Razer pic related. I mean my fingers glide on the keyboard. i can't imagine coding on a mechanical keyboard.

    Due to what, typing speed?
I, personally, type faster on mechanical keyboards than membrane ones. ~80-90wpm on membrane, 90-100 on my current keyboard (With MX greens, which are heavier blues)
