Sargeras will 110% escape, probably during late Shadowlands.
"deal with" doesn't have to mean killed/destroyed/etc. His capture is a form of "dealing with" and doing so in a single patch. Sargeras isn't some parasitic being leeching into a planet oozing their essence to manifest beyond their confines so comparing to old god parasites isn't a good example.

When he does break loose again and they retcon his motivations (yet again) it will still be a further let down.

Yeah, almost as dumb as a tournament at the end of the world, in a frozen wasteland, in the doorstep of the Lich King himself, and next to facility that was a prison of an old god KEK

The way they used the titans etc, what could have used more explanation however was us defeating Argus form. Were we enhanced by the titans and by how we were transported to the seat of the Pantheon? Also a bit dodgy was Aggramar's defeat.. was he weakened by the bosses we defeated earlier? We certainly weren't fighting his full form, yet it was him! so what were we fighting? His soul I guess, and we have no idea what that means in terms of power or defeatability, because it is so vague how can we say it was impossible for us to defeat them?

    How we powered up:

    1. Artifact weapons - we gained immense power from them
    2. Netherlight Crucible - a fusion of a light and void godling to enhance
    3. The Army of the Light
    4. The Pillars of Creation
    5. The Nightwell
    6. The vindicaar seriously empowered.
    7. Illidan
    8. Eonar
    9. Legendaries

Did we get any titanic or kaldorei power from the Tomb of Sargeras/Cathedral of Eternal Night.

Most of these weren't used inside Antorus, they got us to there, but we had the artefact weapons, legendaries and Eonar after her encounter to help the rest of the fight.

The thing is most of the bosses we defeated weren't necessarily aiding or boosting the power of the bosses, so it's not like Antorus was weakened the further we progressed and the more we fought.

Ig uess we fought the titans' souls, and not them actually.. This is one of the reasons how and why the victory is believable enough.

The titans at the seat of the pantheon, their greatest seat of power are able to use their power to defeat Sargeras, or at least suck him back from Azeroth and somehow contain him. Not sure how that works, but he obviously couldn't use his body to destroy the seat, perhaps because they got his soul first.

It's acceptable enough if you ask me.
    We defeated Sargeras?

Yeah that's why they arnt bringing back class quests really... They said they learned from it that not many people play alts to experience story. As to experience all of legion you had to level 1 of each class. Sorta why wod seemed a bit small. Cause unless you played both factions, you missed like 40% of the story.

I tell myself that Medivh fought Legion on other planets at that time. He made diversion so we could strike the command.

Its not believable in the least. The Legion numbers in the millions they have countless of planets under their control and armies all over the universe.

Blizz made a mistake sending just one ship. What they should have done is put another Dalaran and Archerus in Argus and show the entire combined might of Azeroth using these fortresses to invade. We should have had dragons and Wild Gods and Titan Keepers with us it should have been a war of epic proportions.

Blizz punted and it felt lacking as a result.

It was to much to put in 1 patch realy.. so many things felt rushed or unexplained. Its stupid we have to level a warlock to find out why sargaras was a freaking cloud.

It was a mess Argus it was. Argus being the planet soul out of nowhere also was stupid.

We should have lost from archimonde on dreanor and go from there. But hey not that bfa was better.

Well lore wise it doesnt make sense anyway. A single orc peon could defeat the entire Legion many times over if you think about it. There was only 1 copy of each demon and Legion leader in the entire WoW universe but every other place had multiple timelines, alternate bla bla etc etc. So technically one could gather up an infinite army of those sleepy peons from all the alternate Valleys of Trials and send them at Sargeras. Might take a while but they would eventually overwhelm him.

On that note, why was the Legion obsessed with our version of Azeroth anyway? He could have found one where life had never begun and overtaken that instead.

The Legion and Sargeras are portrayed as astoundingly incompetent so their defeat is highly plausible.

lol the word of a dev is canon, if he says he is dead, then he is dead.

Illidan was retconned because not even blizzard was happy as to how his story turned out to be.

The joke was that Blizz actually gave us patch 3.2 in Wrath, where the entire basis was Tirion thinking it was a good idea to hone our skills prior to facing the Lich King by having jousting matches... in Icecrown of all places...

The raid it gave us also just featured us fighting in a bunch of battles that didn't need to occur (already imprisoned foes, the opposing faction that we shared a common looming enemy with, a demon that didn't even need to be summoned, and a trap by the Lich King because he's the only one who realized it was dumb as hell to put up a freaking tournament so close to him on a continent full of spider catacombs that he controlled).

Even if Argus felt rushed, at least we didn't get a complete stagnation patch where we set up some jousting inside enemy territory just to bide our time.

It was a last minute change though. The tournament was meant to be taken place in Crystalsong, which is why it's so empty but they had some technical problems with it as it was too close to Dalaran and would have caused FPS problems.

It wouldn't have been so silly then as the point would have been to entertain your troops and get them in higher spirits before marching to Icecrown. Kinda like how they showed soldiers movies and had celebrities perform for them before sending them to battle in WW2.
