Latency question

Currently experiencing high latency due to playing using a US account in Europe. This gets worse in Battlegrounds.

Is there a way to see how high your latency is? and are there any ways to reduce it?

I would like to know wtf is going on as well, I'm having serious problems with battlegrounds, each game I get stuck in connection and i need to leave and enter the game, this is getting annoying as battlegrounds are the only place i get this problem
