Here is my prediction.
Without counting China, Iran and North Korea.
1 billion people get infected
20 million people dead
20% unemployment rate
Trump becomes the richest man in the world
I have a feeling that Spain will pass Italy today with their final daily totals.

I don't think that's typical human nature, though. I mean, there's a reason that conspiracy theorists and doomsday preachers are loners. There might be a significant amount of them out there, but they're very insular, socially speaking.
Whereas hyper-social humans typically consider downplaying threats to be "cool". As evidence, see all the influencers who have died trying to take that dangerous selfie. And more recently, all the influencers making #cornachallenge a thing. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Standard practice seems to be to make a big deal over small things and a small deal over big things. Buck the trend. Be avant-garde. All that I'm-a-super-unique-individual-so-follow-me bullshit that just means they're JUST like every other influencer wannabe out there.
That turned into a bit of a rant, there, sorry. But I think the point is still valid.

Let's not play these games. 2% death rate is rather optimistic, let's not start contests who can predict higher numbers (check my recent posts). Mere 20% unemployment for the period when full-scale quarantines start is very low. But when it's over, there will be no serious unemployment during the recovery period.
And Trump is Trump, he'll possibly get a free re-election due to the crisis.
Italy's case growth rate seems to be decreasing a bit.
On another hand, in Sicily they've put policemen in front of supermarket to prevent new looting.

The number of criticals is 5%, currently we seeing in Italy that the local health service no longer has enought ventilators for their people, so, in a few weeks we will start seeing death rate increasing just because the number of ventilators isn't enought.
A lot of people will start seeking for medical helps in the next weeks, everywhere in the world. That's the real scary number here, not 2% but 5%.
Finnish video:
A paramedic in Helsinki describes the situation: his first night shift in 20 years when he didn't see any drunk people or patients (which is obviously a good thing). Most patients have fever or respitory issues. Many of the patients are young. So he just wants people to stay home, don't spread this shit.
"It doesn't look good here at the frontlines."
Imagine living in the US and trying to blame a different country for not reacting strongly enough to this virus.
I mean, we can absolutely do both.
EDIT: For clarification, I can't stand the people that are making this a racist issue or even enabling racism via their responses. I don't accept that China can or should be somehow held accountable for the existence of the virus and all of its consequences.
That being said, the government of China is definitely to blame for intentionally blocking important information about this virus being released to the international public in a timely manner. Also, various other governments are to blame for not responding with adequate measures more promptly when necessary.
