Yes, I am and yes, I did in fact get tested and I came out negative.

I just feel like everyone forgot that the common cold and even the regular flu still exists. I know the symptoms are very similar to covid but people have to stop being so paranoid about it. Not that you shouldn't take it seriously but I mean it's just a little ridiculous when you start feeling like you're in some post apocalyptic movie and people will look at you as if you're turning into a zombie because they simply sneezed or coughed. I mean no one acted this way about the normal influenza virus which kills people as well.

I think it's just that this virus has been politicized so much. The politicians are using this virus to gain power and instill fear into people and telling them that if you vote for them everything will go back to normal because they "have a plan".

Based off of 2017 numbers, COVID would be the number 3 cause of death in the us right now. Meaning everything except cancer and heart disease has done less.

To you accept that we shouldn’t worry about the deaths caused by anything except for heart disease and cancer?

Reposting here. The road to approved therapies and vaccinations is a slow one, and if companies are going to engage in shady behavior to push their drugs to market faster it'll only slow everything down when they're caught.

I work for a medical device manufacturing company and get audited like that all the time. The kind of thing they're talking about there is REALLY serious. Like, completely shut down the company because of fraud, safety violations, non-compliance to required industry standards, etc.... kind of serious. Traceability and audit trails (being able to see who did what, where, when why, and to what thing) are incredibly important as it shows you have control of your process, your people, your product, and that everything is properly documented. Without that, it's the equivalent of saying "because I said so" which does not fly even a little bit when it comes to the health and safety of the patients.

I don't. But pretending that capitalism is inherently bad because it can lead to monopolies is being just as shortsighted as the mentality you claim to be against. It's hardly an all or nothing proposition. You can celebrate the good things about capitalism while working to block the bad. "Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater."
