Patch 8.3 adds N'Zoth assaults to Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. These new assaults work a little differently than what you would expect and are a very important part of keeping up with patch content. Click the banner below for an in depth guide.

Today in Uldum
There are several activities taking place in Uldum.

Assault: The Black Empire

• The Black Empire Assault continues in Uldum. This major assault resets on Tuesday at 7am PT in NA (Wednesday at 8am CET in EU).
• Completing this assault rewards you with 1500 Uldum Accord reputation, 750 Artifact Power, and a Cache of the Black Empire.
• Cache of the Black Empire contains Vessel of Horrific Visions, Corrupted Mementos, 2000 Gold or 200 War Resources, and a chance for a corrupted item.

Vision of N'Zoth Daily Quest (Vision of Darkness)

• A Dark, Glaring Reality - Defeat 6 Darkglare Watchers within the vision.

Daily Quests

• A Rallying Cry - Kill 3 rare minions of N'Zoth in Uldum.
• Blind the Eyes - Kill 6 Foul Observers in the Akhenet Fields in Uldum.
• Cleansing Uldum - Destroy 6 Corruption Tumors in Uldum.
• Dark Deceivers - Kill 8 K'thir minions in Uldum.

Daily Rares

• The following Rare NPCs have a chance to drop collectibles such as mounts, pets or toys.

/way 49 82 The Grand Executor - Drops Hell-Bent Bracers (Spawns on top of the floating platform)
/way 56 52 Gaze of N'Zoth - Drops All-Seeing Right Eye (Required for All-Seeing Eyes)

• Completing bonus events rewards you with Uldum Accord reputation and Coalescing Visions.

Pet Battle World Quest

• Watch Where You Step - Defeat Blotto in a pet battle.
• Strategy: Unborn Val'kyr [2 2 1] and Ikky [1 1 1]
  
  • Turn 1: Curse of Doom
  • Turn 2: Haunt
  • Bring in Ikky
  • Turn 3: Black Claw
  • Turn 4-6: Flock
  • Turn 7: Finish the fight with your third pet

Other Daily Activities

• Reins of the Springfur Alpaca - Obtained by feeding Gersahl Greens to the Friendly Alpaca for seven days.
  
  • You can find Gersahl Greens along the Vir'naal River. Most of them spawn around the Lost City of Tol'vir.
  • The Friendly Alpaca is a rare spawn in Uldum. If you can't find it, look in Premade Groups for "Friendly Alpaca".
• Shadowbarb Drone - Obtained by completing Ready to Fly, the final quest in a chain available after completing daily quests for 30 days.
  
  • To start the questline pick up the Voidtouched Egg at coordinates 20.8 61.9 in Uldum and then bring it to H'partho Ardoros.
  • To grow your companion you will have to complete daily quests offered by H'partho Ardoros in Ramkahen.
  • Completing this questline also rewards you with a toy Aqir Egg Cluster and a pet Shadowbarb Hatchling.

Today in Vale of Eternal Blossoms
There are several events taking place in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Assault: Mantid

• The Mantid Assault continues in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. This minor assault resets on Tuesday at 7am PT in NA (Wednesday at 8am CET in EU).
• Completing this assault rewards you with 500 Rajani reputation, 500 Artifact Power, and a Cache of the Mantid Swarm.
• Cache of the Mantid Swarm contains 5500 Coalescing Visions, Corrupted Mementos, 2000 Gold or 200 War Resources, and a chance for a corrupted item.

Daily Quests

• Rampaging Destroyers - Kill 4 Kunchong Destroyers in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
• Taken by the Swarm - Free 6 Golden Lotus prisoners from Hardened Amber Cages in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
• Blades of Amber - Collect 12 Amber Blades from Vil'thik mantid in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Daily Bonus Events

• Completing bonus events rewards you with Rajani reputation and Coalescing Visions.

You know you get also 4-5 quests with the assault?
Most time iam at 70-80% when the quests are done.

Or you could, ya know, do the events and rares and stuff around as well? I've never heard of a single person killing only regular mobs to "fill the bar", like -ever-.

events which can at times take ~ 1 minute and require no killing reward a minimum of 15% progress and up to I think 30% for more difficult ones. rares reward more than they used (were 5%, now I think it's at least 10-15%) and chests reward 5% though for some reason not all assault seem to give some for them. download the handynotes BFA assault add-on for chest and rare locations and use the co-ords here every day for the event locations.

on a good day depending on the events you can easily get it done in ~ 20 minutes per toon.

The events around the assault give 10-15% progress (I don't remember exactly how much, but they give a lot), and killing rares also give extra progress, I believe.

Kinda wish there were more unique toys dropping off by rares otherwise they are meant for catching up ap for main+alts.

Don't focus on purely killing mobs to advance the meter. Look for stuff to click and do the dailies. It's not as long as you think
