I think they should find a name among lore characters first. Why did they make Lunara up when they had named dryads in Vanilla/Catalysm zones?

Oh i'd love a proper shapeshifting druid. Too many games pidgeonhole druids into hard focusing one form, the best designed druids in games are changing forms regularly every fight. Pillars of Eternity does this.

I am not good at it either but from what I know, every "generic" unit hero could have been named by canon name.

Eh, I saw another Nexus hero coming after Orphea went over well. What I did not see coming was a Nexus hero with no preamble/story and ripped strait from Wakanda.

You can thank upper manglement for that. Qhira was conceptualized at the same time as Orphea and was clearly going to have some place in the story before that whole thing was killed off.

Pretty sure there won't be any more heroes that weren't being developed 6 months ago. DW was the last one. The game is not being developed anymore, it's in "maintenance mode."

Mylune probably wasn't "serious" enough for the kit they wanted. And Lunara semi-existed before she was named through Heroes. first daughter of Cenarius and all that. They could absolutely have gone with someone else, but this gave them a blank-ish slate for someone fiercer.
