    XFL 2020 Thread

Are you guys going to watch XFL this year? The first 2 games are today at 2 and 5.

I actually like it so far. I'll watch a full game tomorrow, but so far from what I've seen its better than the alliance. I just don't like listening to headset comms for play calls. It adds little to nothing for the broadcast.

i like it, but i'm all for more football. I also love the extra mics and stuff.. hearing the play calls for example is awesome. Oh and ref dedicated to ball spotting is a neat idea

I must say I LOVE the freaking replay review aspect, where they show you the person reviewing the play and what they see and how they talk to the referee on the field on clarifying the entire review.

Lame, there was a fan on the field and they didn't show it.

Ah I saw it today but didn't watch. Ill try to tune in next week so I can scope out what it's like compared to the NFL.

I must say I am a fan of some of the tweaks, I like the kickoffs, I love the no kicking PATs and I've already commented on the replay reviews which are outstanding. The early game on Sunday wasn't great but this evening game has been solid. I still don't know about Pat Mcafee's style of interviewing but he's passionate about it.

XFL looks great so far honestly. Just need coaches to stop being so conservative. The rules reward aggressive playcalling. Maybe once players get in shape (some guys were pretty exhausted) things will open up.

Also liked seeing hits and not having to wait for 3 flags to fly. There was some good hits in these games.

Wonder how many rules the NFL will adopt at the combine meeting.
Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.

None this year imo. I 100% see them using the XFL kickoff rules eventually. Its a mix of being safer and remaining enjoyable.

The XFL will only be a success if Randy Orton randomly runs out during games and RKO's the wide receiver as he's about to catch the football.

Brandon Silver is pretty awful. Really surprised Zorn hasn't made a change yet.

I watched a bit today. The impression is that it's a bit faster paced, but the player quality kind of sucks lol. There were a lot of terrible mistakes. But maybe I was just watching a particularly bad piece.

This is the first truly terrible game of the XFL that I've seen. Both these teams are trash.

Changed the title to be more useful, this can be the XFL mega thread for news and discussing the games.

Why have 2 separate football threads?

People were salty about AAF stuff in the NFL thread last year. Given the XFL is trying its best to distance itself from the NFL, a separate thread seems logical.

Not investing any of my time into it yet. I got invested into the XFL and the AFL the first time. Especially the AFL since I finally had a home team to cheer for. Not gonna get disappointed this time.

If I have time I'll watch some games.
