This is probably the main reason for most people who raided in vanilla up till wrath.

Same for me, bought a house, new work etc.

I don't like having to be somewhere at a certain time most days.

My guild disbanded and I realized raiding take too much time from me so I just stopped.

Time constraints. I'm very much an all-or-nothing kind of person, if I can't play 8-10 hrs/day when I need to to be in tip-top shape for immediate mythic progression whenever a new raid goes live I just get kinda bored. I still play casually from time to time but casual raiding in heroic or pug life just isn't for me. No fun unless it's competitive. This is why I haven't really raided since WotLK when I was in college where I could just doss off for a few weeks when needed and otherwise play in the evenings/weekends.

The only thing that would stop me from raiding is the RL pressure of other responsibilities sometimes.

That said the added pressure of having to farm AP + mythic+ to remain competitive makes raiding harder to participate in too.

It's all about time and WoW likes to give us "things to do" nowadays... which isn't good if you just like to do mythic raiding.

My guild died, and trying to recruit now is hell.
I really hate pugging for a raid since people tend to leave right after a boss so you have to wait an fill again and before you know it, raid time over.

Moved countries and started a life with my SO. Thought I'd have time to keep up some gaming but doesn't really feel like I can commit to even one casual raid a week, much less the 3-4 evenings per week I used to. I've been raiding with the same people (core) since WotLK, so it's a bit of a change for both good and bad!

Two guilds have broken apart and due to lack of people overall (Chamber of Aspects) it was impossible to rebuild team yet again. Most people moved to other servers while I decided it's not worth the effort to start anew, so I just quit (it was over half a year ago).

it wasn't known for me.. in MoP i was busy (also hardcore raiding), in fact - ironic - i killed Garrosh hc on my alt druid on his off spec (boomkin) and failed to kill him on my main tankadin
tldr : I still raided hard in MoP and did all content, then i took long break until very late WoD, then a mage soloed him....

I lost intrest in wow. The classes were what did the most to damage my interest. Combined with all the other factors in this awful xpack.

Ffxiv classes are much more interesting imho

I still raid but I dialed it way back from my peak. I cut back a lot when they made playing wow a second job with the mindless garbage you have to do to keep up to date with things like ap. It was way more fun to raid when I could enjoy other games in my off time instead of what it is now where its every minute not logged into wow doing stuff is a minute farther you fall behind due to rng and timegating.

Christmas Break killed my raiding guild and decided to go back to FF14 which is an MMO whose story and actual game play I enjoy a bit more.

The positive side I have more time to play single player games and catch up on some Anime.

Before Blizzard removed snapshotting at the end of MoP I had been playing and raiding at top 50 US since BC with zero breaks or interruptions on my sub, but WoD was the garbage expansion that broke me, now I can't raid for more than a few months before I ditch my guild and stop playing altogether, just to come back give it another try and fuck back off again because everything is just so goddamn boring and rng reliant, the removal of snapshotting also hurt me, took away THE best thing in the game for no good reason.

Now that is interesting and I will have to do some research on that subject but I'm not really thinking about them in a marriage sense lol.

Maybe it's the outside looking in exotic factor and being used to American women.

too much requirements outside of raid to keep doing myhtic raiding. Not worth investing so much time especially when mythic is getting less and less different than heroic regarding the mechanics

no actually it is deeply rooted in history
I'm extremely grateful for ancient egypt, but they f8cked up very hard in 1 point: the spring celebration
like most religions in that era, they sacrifice the prettiest girl and throw her in nile for fertility etc, since they practiced that for thousand of years, the result was of course that every family that has a pretty girl immigrated to palestine/jordan/syria zones and left egypt, to degree that some historians think that by end of pharaohs era they started to throw men (since no more girl pretty enough to please gods)
If not for mutli invasions from different countries like romans and france and UK, we probably still had the ugliest women to ever exist

I stopped raiding in early BfA (BoD) for these reasons:

    - No master loot, everything personal killed many guilds

    - No tier sets, azerite armor killed Retail

    - Too much RNG, titanforging and now corruption

    - catch up on every patch, making it useless everything you earned on previous mythic raids

So if they don't make huge changes in Shadowlands, I won't even try. I'm too busy having fun in Classic atm.

Terrible class design, RNG, treadmill. It eats your life away. I loved it when you got currency to go ta vendor and plan how to build your char.

    - Started to feel old late 20s
    - realized wtf am I doing with my life
    - organized raiding felt like a part time job where i dont get paid
    - chicks don't think its cool
    - felt like a closet loser/gamer playing wow at my age
    - existential crisis
    - quit wow
    - came back throughout the years as a casual normie still felt like a loser playing wow
    - post on mmo to feel better about life
    - quit wow again
    - still watch other people stream it to remember the good ole days
    - cri myself to sleep at night
