Too weak. The Horde needs someone willing to slaughter their foes and flash biceps.

I find it highly unlikely that Aggra put her two children in a position where there is little to no food that isn't tainted. Which leads me to believe they're either dead or Aggra left Thrall.
They are 100% alive. Thralls famaily have not been killed off screan with no mentiom

How do you know that with certainty? You don't. They've killed characters off screen before only to be mentioned later or in some cases never again.

Don't you think it would have been mentioned in the Thrall and Saurfang cinematic? Or that Thrall wouldn't just be dicking around at his home instead of returning to the Horde or killing himself/letting himself get killed if they were dead?

    Because:

    1. Thrall is one of the main character of the franchise. He not some quantity that can be forgotten. His motivations matter.

    2. If Slyvannas had , directly or indirectly, killed his family he'd of mentioned it when she saw her. Probably shout at her about it.

Also about your bollock about hia family not being able to have food. Outlands has sustained life for decades its not suddenly uninhabitable now. Also they're in Nagrand a region where a Horde ally and Aggras people are the dominant power. Mag'har's capital is probably not much more then a days journey from them. An entire city living on outland. A city that idolises thralls grandma and where aggra grew up. Thralls and hia family aren't stranded in a desert.

Just wait to Shadow Rising has a section where Thralls family are in Orgrimmar with aggra being concerned his back in a leadership role.

Don't you think the Warrior that Thrall married would have rushed outside to help her husband if she were alive? And before you mention their Children, she's left them before to fight battles. There's zero reason for Thrall saying "close" when asked where his family was, it's a very ominous statement, if his family were alive, why would he send them away when he had zero knowledge of what's happening on Azeroth? Or does that logic delude you too.

Just because he's a main character that doesn't mean he's immune to death or that his family is immune to death. Let's give you an example, Kairoz, died in a short story, despite being the reason Garrosh escaped, despite being the ONLY reason Garrosh was able to travel to AU Draenor. If you want to argue he wasn't a main character, then neither is Thrall as he's been gone for several expansions doing literally nothing.

Nobody said Sylvanas is the reason that they're dead, there are several other ways people die.

Outlands has been withering for years and it gets progressively worse, as known from quest chains in Nagrand and Zangarmarsh. Grain doesn't just disintegrate into dust when touched, this is a fact. Food has always been scarce in Outlands, people die all the time. Reality is, Blizzard could have very easily wrote them off because they're no longer really needed for the story. You have zero evidence otherwise.

Not really close might mean, at the Mag'har captial getting supplies. Just means thier close by.

No but Thrall being a main character means that important information on him like all his family dying would be told.

Ok fair i was misunderstanding what you were saying.

A few grains vs all the cities and cultures on Outland. Life can still exist.

I have the fact that its not been remotely mentioned and it makes no sense for them to have been killed by stavation while in a region they're people dominate.

You have they haven't been mentioned in an expasion.

Why would you assume she is sitting in the house all day? Where are the gravemarkers for his family???? If his family was dead he wouldn't have to reason to dick around at his house anymore he retired to be with them. Either he would try and get himself killed/kill himself or have gone back to helping people. And even if he didn't do those two things why the fuck would he then go with Saurfang and not just deal with whoever Sylvanas would send after him???? If he didn't go back to the Horde after they died he wouldn't give a shit about going to help the Horde after she sent assassins.

I think you need positive proof of some kind before you can conclude a character is dead - Thrall's cryptic comment isn't really proof of any kind, by my estimation; and it's highly likely he knew Saurfang was on his way given the relative high profile of Saurfang among the Orcs (and Saurfang wasn't making any attempt to hide his identity, either). It may also not be the first time assassins have attacked Thrall in Outland, either; as he wasn't very surprised that he was attacked and only briefly indignant at the belief that Saurfang had allowed himself to be followed by them. Nor did Saurfang's admission that he followed the assassins brook any real response from Thrall.

This right here is all I needed to see for me to know that you have no clue what you're talking about lol. He didn't "retire" to be with his family. He left to reconnect with the Elements and regain their favor because he was depressed that the Elements weren't answering him, and they almost let him die during the Legion invasion, after he abused them to kill Garrosh.

Not to mention his family wasn't even with him at all during Legion as his wife was helping the player Shaman throughout Legion.

It's funny that your talking about lore and then saying the Elements are the ones who left him.

"Eventually, the weight of all the wars he had fought began to weigh more heavily upon the former warchief and Thrall's own abilities and resolve eventually began to waver. During the Burning Legion's latest invasion of Azeroth, he passed both the Doomhammer and the mantle of leader of the Earthen Ring down to a shaman adventurer, knowing the future was now in safer hands. With this, he retired with his family to Nagrand, where he established a small farm. This did not last, as he was called from retirement by Varok Saurfang, who needed his aid in preventing Sylvanas Windrunner, Vol'jin's successor after his death during the Legion's invasion, from tearing the Horde apart. Leading a rebellion alongside Saurfang, Thrall upheld his promise to Saurfang who perished during a mak'gora with Windrunner, who then abandoned the Horde. Taking on a mantle of leadership for his people once again, Thrall became a member of the Horde Council, which replaced the warchief position, as the orcish representative."

"he felt as if it was a dead weight in his hands, he believed that the elements were silent to him. In reality, it was his guilt and internal struggle that were the reason for this.[91] He gave the Doomhammer to the adventurer and told them that they now wielded powers even he never tapped into. Thrall then asked the adventurer to bring the Earthen Ring together against the Legion, before going his own way.[92]"

"Thrall and his family retired to a quiet dwelling in Nagrand. In the midst of the Blood War, Varok Saurfang sought out the former warchief and told him that the Horde had begun to fall apart under Sylvanas' leadership while Thrall had been "hiding". Thrall responded that he had left that life behind; he was no one's savior, and he would not lead the Horde again. Varok replied that he had hoped Thrall would at least fight for it."

Also the elements in outland are different than the ones on Azeroth. And he met his family in Dalaran during Legion.

I'm a-ok with Thrall being an average hero. Thrall's strength should come from his leadership, like he showed in Warcraft III. How OP they've started making so many of the characters is just boring and lame.

Couldn't agree more. Let raid bosses or neutral entities be overpowered. Faction characters need to be more relatable, and it's always kind of hard to relate to walking nukes like Cata!Thrall, Sylvanas or Jaina. The latter is the closest time Blizzard has come to succeed, mostly because her power levels are impossibly inconsistent so they can temporarily pretend she's not someone who can lift a First-Rate, bathe a battlefield in ice, and fire arcane cannons at the same time.
