He didn't win more than 9 games before Watson, and that was with Watt and Clowney in their primes, as a defense-focused team. Yeah, he got to the playoffs a couple times with that, but mainly cause the AFC South is a dumpster fire.

Watson has been carrying this team in spite of BoB these past few seasons.

His coaching decisions in short yardage, clock management, just general matchups (he never adjusts to shit) are all godawful. He's a bad coach.

Edit: Not to mention, Gase stayed with Miami for a similar amount of time, had 7 years of a mediocre Tannehill before he got fired. He's been coasting of doing well with Peyton for one year for like a decade. I don't even know what has qualified O'Brien for these 7 years.

And I know he wasn't GM, but he was part of the decision making process to give fucking BROCK OSWEILER SEVETY TWO MILLION DOLLARS.

To be fair they should have made Art Modell buy a new expansion team and leave the Browns as they were in Cleveland. Biggest screw job to a city and their football team.

Welp. This going to be a long game if Hoyer is off his game this much. Usually you can at least expect him to do the simple tasks well and just fail to carry the load if too much is asked. Right now he's just failing at the simple stuff.

Why the hell would you challenge a 5 yard difference in field position, at mid field, when you are up by 6 at the start of the 2nd quarter?

Ol' Andy Reid at it again.

Phil Simms is so good at this... "everything has gone perfect for the Patriots" as a segue into everything that's gone wrong.

Patriots clock management leaves a lot to be desired so far this season.

That incomplete call though might just be the worst call ive ever seen.

I mean, for a game I was pretty sure we'd lose even with Cam Newton, Brian Hoyer has certainly kept things interesting in various ways. It's never boring on offense.

I don't get that PI call, looked like it happened before the throw, should've been 5, not a spot foul.

From Studham to Dudham in about 20 minutes.

Pats probably win this game with Cam.

There was a time when sports were played by men.... Err that's a QB.

Back in the day the next three plays he'd have ended up on the dirt even if it was a penalty for being a toad.

Yeah, I don't know. Not sure if the Chiefs were all that focused this game, especially Mahomes. There were some uncharacteristic throws in the first half where I felt he would have usually made them when on his game.

Either way, ifs and buts don;t get you far in the NFL. We're 2-2, and down some important players due to injury/covid, but that doesn't stop the Broncos from coming to town on Sunday and we will have to be ready and hopefully better at the QB position than we were today, cause both QB's killed us.

At least Stidham has the excuse that this was his second game of actual NFL action, but what Hoyer did was simply inexcusable, even for a back up QB. Hoyer wasn;t pulled cause he played bad per se, he was pulled for multiple simple mental gaffes and blunders, stuff that gets drilled every practice.

Far as I'm concerned they should make Stidham the back up from here on out and try to see if he's actually worth a damn or not. Cause Hoyer is not the answer, that much is certain, even as a standby, fill in one series, back up. He can be the 3rd QB for emergency use only.

Not sure, but they're definitely better with him. A week of getting first team reps should do Stidham well though.
