Doing full Horrific Visions on alts and still needing essences.

Essences have very little bearing on being able to full clear a vision. The two things that make visions easy are cloak and elite/gift tech, otherwise you can easily clear a full vision with no essences.

275 from Assaults
up to 900 from Vision runs (by now you easily get 6 keys per week with the daily routine)
350 from emissaries
Warfront is not a given (once every 3 weeks)
240 = 20 per raid boss on average
230 from 1 m+10 weekly run
175 from the pvp chest
None from islands (I wonder why)
Weekly effort for this should be way less than 10 hours
Result is 2k+ per week, 4 essences.

Yes, but it requires cloak+heroic visions. Which is even making it even more grindy.

How do you get that to 400?

125 from major assault
75x2 from minor assault
150 from full clear
50x7 from emissaries

125+75x2+150+50x7 = 775 1½ essence.

Ahh k yeah my maths is not the best.. But if that is the case will be happy, got a lot of alts to get essences for.. llol

No lol that's the complete opposite of what the article says. 1 week per level 3 essence assuming you do the bare minimum.

Whoever thought Blizzard wouldn't turn the essence thing into a bs grind was fooling themselves. I gave up giving Blizzard the benefit of the doubt years ago. I've learned to just expect the worse because that's usually the case and be surprised when it turns out good. And to everyone saying 'oh boo hoo, you have to grind in an MMO, who would have thought' you're kidding yourself. It's literally the end of the expansion and the entire azerite system (you know, the literal centerpiece of the expansion) was awful and broken from the start. Who does it actually hurt if blizzard just let those had earned their essences get them for their alts without all the damn hoops and grind?

People aren't moaning because they have to play their alt. They're moaning because they've done the crap before and they want to get into better/higher content faster on alts. God forbid now that the expansion is at an end, eh?

And, I have been saying for some time, you don't really need bis essences, but now that they are this means I get actual bis from just playing. Just like old times. Do raids? Get bis essence and gear. Do dungeons? Get bis essence and gear. Do solo content like HV, get bis essence and guaranteed corrupted gear. Why thank you, I'll take it.
