You do realize the reason many big companies do such donations and charity sales is to get tax deductions, right? Not to mention all the other loopholes they find to avoid taxes.

Also them having "zero reasons" to do this is far from true. They have done similar promotions in the past, without any similar situation calling for it. Hell, I'm not sure if it still is that way after the revamp, but one of the big draws of the RAF system used to be a huge exp boost.

Even if you could defend that such an exp boost will not lead to an increase in subscriptions, it's still simply good PR for them.

Don't get me wrong, it's a very good thing and I don't have a doubt there are many passionate and charitable individuals working at Blizzard that genuinely care for the issues the company supposedly cares about, but as corporation charity doesn't really exist in the same way as we see it as individuals.

People need to stop humanizing and seeing corporations as their friends. They're not. They're money-making machines. You don't need to offer loyalty to a brand or corporation, just care about the developers and staff.

Good post. I would upvote it if I could. People need to stop being loyal to corporations and SHOPS. Always be critical, even if you like the games they're making.

I don't think any other expansion is as bad as this in terms of the shear amount of things you have to grind out just to even be shoulder to toe as a returning or new player. The neck has to be caught up, the essences, the corruption rng, the cape. And that's not even to raid, even random bg's you're going to be swamped by people in Lvl3 essences.

    OT: How it might've gone:
The quarantine starts to spread and they weren't seeing the spike in players they thought they would. Especially after the essences for all!! So they put this out to help sweeten the pot. The end.

And to combine the 2: I would much rather they put a halt on all exp gains so alt players can avoid the bummer that is hitting cap now. I've still got that stupid cape to upgrade. Visions have already gotten old on the one character I did a few on, I don't see myself being all that enthused to do it 2-5 more times.

And another edit: Not relating to anyone here hopefully. I blame this whole crappy patch on the people that complained about TF/WF. They needed another draw to keep people playing longer. TF was the lesser of the two evils (imo it was great, it gave every single player in the game a constant path of upgrading their gear just doing whatever they wanted to do, but that's not the point.) I hope they go back to to TF/WF, if not I hope they system they create to replace it all isn't as terrible as corruption is.

Let's get to that alt leveling for that sweet, sweet heritage armour which has exactly 0 value, because everyone of the same race gets it.
Oh boy am I pumped I can't WAIT to start farming the new <currency> to be able to buy <grind mechanic items>, so I can not play the game again.
Races have never been content, so why are allied races suddenly SUPPOSED to be content in your eyes?
    "has 0 value"
surprise, most stuff in the game has 0 value...

why do you come here if you hate the game and dont play it anymore? why waste your time with a game you have NO interest in?

My dk I got max lvl on Monday got 2bis essences and 440gear within 2 days without any effort. I'll probably be around 470 next week with 3 bis essences.

No idea why people say there's lots of grinding.

As i mentioned in other post: i'd rather quit Classic and start playing on private servers again if they dared to to that.

Because I've played it for 10 years and that gives me the right to comment on it and the sad state it is now. If you don't like it then you can just, you know, ignore it.
