Lol square enix are giving Tomb Raider for free, Ubisoft had Divison 2 on sale for like 3$, etc etc, but people are still giving that fucking "a meal costs more than 15$ guyzzz!" like it has anything to do with it.
OP is just asking: hey, if other guys are giving meaningful shit, why doesn't blizzard do it? And the answer is: so they don't show weakness.
The last earnings report, Blizzard's contribution was a disaster QoQ or YoY, diminishing returns I think from every game.
Giving WoW away free or even lowering sub costs would confirm that WoW is really in the shitter these days.
Or maybe people are actually coming back in droves and their analysts see this and they see no reason to lower prices, who the fuck knows.
