Abominations Limb on a Blood DK seems fun, they will never escape!
Gorefiend to pull them in and Abomination Limb to keep them gathered.

Cant wait to see what the abilities you gain from Kindred Spirit for druids will be. I wonder if it will be the same as symbiosis or different abilities?

Judging from the effects listed above, the other side of it will likely also be a generic role-relevant option, ie. if you target a DPSer you get the ability to do some damage, but not Symbiosis-style ability swaps.

So we get a new one for Shaman and it's Primordial Bolt and it's just a clear winner for PvP and makes choosing Kyrian with it's AoE thing really difficult to justify...

Priest's ones suck so much... 2 of them oriented to healing, and the other 2 are utility spells. Not one of them is for DPS... wth.

I can already see Night Fae paladin being mandatory slot in every raid and M+ non-caster compositions, lust like Monks with their DPS buff are now.

I guess, RIP other Covenants paladins and then there will be balancing patch that will also shit on Night Fae paladins, nerfing them to the ground.

most covenants will be fully deemed unworthy for the respective roles. raider.io will list your covenant and you will be denied before they even check your gear. some combinations will be too overpowered when used in specific situations in the coming WFR and have to be nerfed for everyone.

i really suspect blizzard will do a 180 on this once they try to set it more in stone. they think utility might be nice and why shouldn't someone just use the covenant they like thematically? but they don't take into account the stigmatization by the player base when it comes to group activity. if you are going to separate players that much just because of a single choice, you are bound to be flamed along the way.

I have a Hunter, a Druid, and a Warlock. I can't see how a 'Lock would go any other way but Necro and a Druid with the Night Fae, but the Hunter will be a hard choice. They all look pretty good. Since I don't do organized raiding, I'll just go with whatever looks like the most fun or fits the role and lore of the class the best. Actually, Since I'll already have a Necro and a Fae, the choice for the Hunter will be between Kyrian and Venthyr. Between light and dark as it were.

I wonder, it’s says party. So does that not include the rest of the raid?

It also says attacks, so doesn’t that include spells?

It sounds like a dps cd? So maybe somewhere in the realm of bloodlust?

If u have more than one paladin do the effects stack? Or does it have a debuff like bloodlust?

Too many questions come to mind before I’m able to freak out.

I wish these abilities would be a talent row so you can sawp them out. I main a warlock and i love the idea, name and description of Soul Rot but i just don't like the Night Fae.

These things generally mean exactly what they say. Party is literally going to be only you and the 4 other people in your party and attacks mean attacks not spell casts.

Yeah, it should be the same effect both ways. For example, if you as a Balance Druid use it on a Holy Paladin, then when you push the spell, for the next 10 seconds, your damage will give them bonus Intellect and 50% of their healing will be copied to you.

I think this is actually still really cool, personally. It retains the unique flavor of 'bonding' an ally, and it gives you some interesting options (bond a DPS for more damage or maybe boost your healers and save yourself a little too).

So Venthyr is pretty much just for PvP then...

I wonder if Demonic triggers Venthyr aoe, I assume it wont which makes it a bit meh

  17. #17
This needs to be swappable talent rows. I don't get who at Blizzard thought that defining abilities that would make you choose a covenant over others was a good idea.

  18. #18
I'm looking at those priest ones and man they seem so uninteresting for Shadow, i mean Unholy Nova seems ok for AOE purposes but other than it's full on heals / utility / pvp
