I just hope this massively pisses off the Dem base into voting with even greater fervour. There's a shit ton of liberties on the line.

If Democrats gain enough power this election (both in President/Congress/State Levels) there are some things they can do to make sure Republicans never get back into this position of power again.

1. Strengthen and protect voting. Both ease of access and protection from interference from foreign and domestic entities.
2. Fix the gerrymandering at the state level. This will require more Dem governors and state legislators turn blue.

To be fair, this is how your constitution works. The problem isn't necessarily the GOP doing what they're allowed to do. The problem is that they are allowed to do it. Change the political system, otherwise it'll always come 'round in a circle to bit your ass. You need to break the wheel.

We're not going to be able to fix the constitution because that requires somehow convincing smaller states to give up some of their disproportionate amount of power.
