State and federal authorities are investigating a video posted by a Florida lawmaker allegedly showing a pile up of mail “sitting for over a week” at a Miami post office that included a handful of completed ballots https://t.co/NQYEHWFcy8

Oh did we do this one? A couple days older than the Texas story.

This may come to a shock to you (sarcasm) but it is in Broward County, aka Miami proper.

I have no idea what you're looking at. You people seem to have lost your damned minds. The truck is traveling in its lane behind the bus and gets sideswiped.

Biden is leading in NC. Trump can't win without NC, while Biden can.

If Biden wins MI, WI AND NC, Trump is fucked. If Biden also wins PA, Trump is super fucked.

I think at this point it's less a question of whether Biden will win the popular vote in those states, and whether the GOP can successfully funnel the results into conservative judges who will strike down enough democrat-leaning ballots in enough counties to put it back in a toss-up.

Des Moines Register Iowa Poll: Donald Trump takes over lead in Iowa as Joe Biden fades

    TRUMP 48%
    BIDEN 41%

Okay this is how Twitter panicks you. Some say a strong lead equals Trump taking Midwest states. Iowa was closer and now seems a Trump lock. Oh btw, Joni Ernst seems safe.

Oh I hate this election. Yes we can say Biden is much stronger in states Clinton lost in 2016 and even then Trump barely won. Still I hate this.

    Pretty much.

As I said before, the republicans are either so far up their own asses that they believe that what they stand for is so right that achieving it is the ultimate right no matter how many people they need to disenfranchise or how badly they pervert democracy, OR they're simply bald faced kleptocrats clinging to power any way they can.

Frankly the reason why isn't super important; what IS important is ensuring they're removed from a place of power and summarily punished to the full extent of the law.

One very early indicator on Election Day will be Florida. Full results should be in relatively early and if FL goes Biden, that's the ballgame. I'll post on Monday or early Tuesday about the Blue and Red Mirages and what to look for on Election Night.

I'm certain DeSantis is going to try and pull out all the stops to deliver a Florida victory for Trump. Look no further than the post office delays in Miami.

Whether the state ultimately goes Trump or not at that point is up in the air, but resolving it could still take time.

Honestly, I'm going to ignore all election coverage until Wednesday. I'd rather face the status quo or the apocalypse with a full night's sleep.
Star Trek teaches us that if we work together, we can accomplish anything. Star Wars teaches us that sometimes violence is necessary against an oppressive government. Both are valuable lessons.
    Just, be kind.

Same. I'm working at 6 AM on Wednesday anyway so I won't bother staying up. I'll look at preliminary results and unless the election looks already 99-100% decided by like 10 PM (fat chance), I'll go to sleep and see what fate befalls America early in the morning. Not that I expect the winner to be locked in by then anyway.

God I remember doing that in 2016 and thinking we got this, and then waking up to this four year nightmare

My oldest son is taking an Honor's American Government course, and we've got a set up for the Election Day and Night: big feast, wall dry erase map of the United States, etc. We're going to cover the election results and talk about U.S. Elections and all that go with it.

Trying to make the best of a situation.

I remember early Election Night 2016 when FL was leaning towards Trump and a friend of mine texted "I think we're in trouble". And then yeah, a four year nightmare.

This poll is an outlier as much as the Biden up 17 in Wisconsin is an outlier.

If you dig down into their individual house races, it has the GOP winning IA01 by 15 points...

    It flipped blue in 2018.

On top of that Independents in this sample moved towards Trump by 26 points since September. That does not seem likely.

Even if you apply these numbers across the board, its still Trump losing 2% support from 2016, which would still lead to a Biden presidency.

How many times does Trump have to bolt on these people while they stand around holding the proverbial bag before they finally see the metaphor is slapping them all in the face.

At this point there are one of two options: Trump either doesn't care about his supporters enough to actually make sure the buses are there or his campaign is too cash-strapped to pay for buses. Either is a viable possibility. It's happened twice in one week now.

Sad thing is that Trump supporters are too indoctrinated to care that Trump doesn't give a damn about them.

Dont weep for the stupid. You'll be crying all day.
"Law and Order", lots of places have had that, Russia, North Korea, Saddam's Iraq.
