Harris County in Texas will close nine of its 10 drive-through voting sites on Election Day to ensure votes are counted, Harris County Clerk Chris Hollins said on Twitter on Monday.

Hollins said the decision was made because a judge said the tents used for most of the drive-through voting sites would not qualify as “buildings,” which are required for Election Day polling places.

“I cannot in good faith encourage voters to cast their votes in tents if that puts their votes at risk,” Hollins said.

Assuming the constitutional scholars are correct, and the case would have gone nowhere...this explains why the judge said it.

As I said before, if Biden wins and Trump tries to pass some sort of heinous executive orders, Biden could always come out and say "yeah, that's not going to last very long" which could tamp down any long-term economic or geopolitical anxiety they might cause.

...Though I am wondering... I don't think Trump is really intelligent enough to craft an executive order deft enough for him to deal lasting damage on his own, and, should he lose, I imagine most of his aids, lawyers, and other GOP members that might normally assist on his debauchery will likely be trying to cover their tracks, skim off what they can, and overall just pull out as fast as possible.

Pennsylvania AG hit for predicting Trump will lose election before votes even counted

Pennsylvania’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro, a Democrat, found himself in hot water on social media after claiming that Trump has lost the ability to win the battleground state, just over 24 hours before the polls close on Election Day.

“If all the votes are added up in PA, Trump is going to lose,” Shapiro wrote on Twitter. “That’s why he’s working overtime to subtract as many votes as possible from this process.”

“For the record, he’s 0-6 against us in court,” the attorney general added. “We’ve protected voting rights. Now, ignore the noise—vote!”

Polling figures coming out of Pennsylvania, a battleground state with 20 electoral votes, are showing Democratic nominee Joe Biden with a narrow 2.9 percent lead over Trump -- but the polling is well within the four point margin of error.

Trump won Pennsylvania by a slim margin of .7 percent in 2016, despite the polls having showed Hillary Clinton with a larger lead than Biden one day before the general election.

FiveThirtyEight showed Clinton with a 3.8 percent advantage over Trump in the Keystone State the day before the last presidential election.

2) They attempt to paint the PA AG in a negative light for decrying Trump's attempt to remove legally-cast votes.

FOX News,desperate to paint a rosy picture, lied. They used 538 to show Clinton's lead, but not Biden's. 538 has had Biden ahead in PA by 4+% since June. I don't know where the 2.9% came from, but it's not 538.

That PA AG tweet got some pretty interesting replies. FOX News cites one:

Well, yeah. Biden's ahead in Pennsylvania. It wouldn't make sense at all.

Trump on Tuesday called on Attorney General William Barr to immediately launch an investigation into unverified claims about Democrat Joe Biden and his son Hunter, effectively demanding that the Justice Department muddy his political opponent and abandon its historic resistance to getting involved in elections.

With just two weeks to go before Election Day, Trump for the first time explicitly called on Barr to investigate the Bidens and even pointed to the nearing Nov. 3 election as reason that Barr should not delay taking action. Trump has been leveling accusations of corruption against Biden without verified evidence for months, but is stepping up the pressure in the final days of the campaign.

FOX News is not able to help Trump with his own record, and as we keep seeing, it's not possible to be a Trump supporter without being a hypocrite. Or, I guess a terrorist, that's happening now too. I don't know how I would feel, if I spent four years backing a lying, racist, potential rapist, serial adulterer, failure of a businessman, a thief, a coward, and a mass murderer, hoping for some kind of money and power and ratings, and was forced to watch it all slowly drain away, powerless to do anything about it.

But then again, I probably wouldn't have been in that position in the first place.

He can claim that all he wants. It doesn't mean jack diddly. It's up to each state to count their votes, and they are under no compulsion to finish counting by November third. If he wants to challenge it, he'll have to do so at a state level, and if the judges aren't sympathetic to him or simply toss the case out, it'll have no path to the supreme court and they'll have no way to weigh in his favor.

And like I said, what'd be even greater is if Biden appears ahead by tomorrow night anyway. See Trump do one last set of mental gymnastics to have him insist on the validity of making sure to count every vote, no matter how late it may be, in a vain attempt to find some path to victory.

I think the 2.9 came from RCP which shrank down to 2.6 with a new poll today. not sure why they didn't say RCP. But, like, this is their top story. Them being outraged about a guy actually doing their job, instead of defending a guy who isn't, or ignoring the lawlessness of a guy, is something I'm looking forward to. This, for me actually, is kind of a relief.

let's go back to them crying and being angry about some dijon mustard and a tan suit instead of needing news cycle changing several times a day based on Trump tweeting or saying something racist or bigoted or or any other form of hatefulness or some form of idiocy.
