Right now, it seems to be a consequence of increased turnout for BOTH sides, with Trump actually expanding his base. All exit polls tonight in every state are showing that people overwhelmingly support the policies Bernie ran on, which is exactly what the exit polls in the Democratic primary showed, too.

Also Bernie had overwhelming support with the Latino community that would have prevented Trump from making gains with them. In the primary, Biden wasn't even distributing campaign information or pamphlets in Spanish or even bothering to reach out to the Latino community with literally any Spanish speaking events. His campaign literally said that the Latino vote wasn't part of their path to victory, right here:
