the republicans will never be free of trump even if he did lose ( i still dont even think he will)
but if he DID he would become a cult figure with a huge talk show following, his endorsement would win or lose primary, hed basically be a shadow leader of the entire GOP

Like, I gagged a little when I mailed in my ballot 4 weeks ago, but I wasn't ashamed of it and I could explain why I was voting for who I was voting for even tho I disagreed with the guy on more than I agreed with, and I think he's a senile creep.
Yeah I didn't like that I voted for Hillary in 2016, but I wasn't ashamed of it either. I had my reasons (SCOTUS, and Trump's an asshole) despite not liking Hillary.

    That's if Biden wins.

If not, who knows how long it'll take.

Weird side effect of this tense election, woke up today to my Atlanta suburb absolutely swarming with cops. There's a car on every street. I wonder if they're expecting riots.

As soon as I hear the word "deficit" coming from a Republican I get the immediate urge to beat them in the face with a 2by4.

Maybe that is why they stopped reporting lol.

You’ll find it’ll be worse with people like Cotton, Hawley and Pence. Because like Amy Coney Barrett, some people will like them because they’re ‘polite’ and ‘well mannered’.

Side note, John McCain’s daughter had a meltdown on Twitter. She’s like, ‘yeah the Federalist is fighting a culture war and you guys all just suck! Screw the media and pollsters! Meanwhile, I’ll keep my job on the View as a political pundit!’

Dunno about them but I've been expecting riots this month all year.

The most likely outcome for Trump is jail. The criminal justice system won't ignore Trumps crimes like the degenerates and deplorables of the republican party.

If nothing else NY will take him down for his financial crimes, so how does he lead the party from jail?

This is also why he's fighting so hard to declare himself a dictator and end the counting of votes.

    He knows what is coming.

Do you think he'd be fighting this hard if he thought his post presidency life would be him on his own TV show and puppetting the republican party?

Slightly related but something I pointed out on my Twitter.

We voted in New Zealand a few weeks ago and it was basically a landslide victory for the incumbent party due to how well they've handled COVID. Like, there was a clear, unambiguous winner on the night and absolutely no doubt about it.

We are still counting votes. We have not finished yet. The final election results will be released this coming Friday.

Any claim that you need to declare a winner of an election on election night is just stupid. You wait for every vote to be counted. That's how democracy works. Every vote counts.

I'm going to be a little optimistic and say they would be willing to work with him because he's not batshit insane like Trump and knows how to work with those people. They won't if he dies in office and a black/asian woman takes over.
Just don't reply to me. Please. If you can help it.

I wouldn't but then again I'm not going to put those that try to find compromise, which is there job because we don't live in a dictatorship, on a higher standard than those that are racist.

Plus different times. At a time when Americans voted in racist Bush Senior accused his opponent of being
"a card-carrying member of the ACLU (the American Civil Liberties Union)."
This kind of behaviour would win you elections during certain periods of American politics.

As long as you fill it out right, generally no.

Of course, that doesn't stop someone from potentially breaking the law, but that's true of any vote you cast.

That's great news if in-person voting brings it to a tie with mail in votes tipping it major for Biden!

Stop thinking Pennsylvania is deciding this election... its not. AZ , WI and MI did.

More Michigan votes, 21k difference now.

Oh mate, as a Brit, it’s just like...huh? They have single issue voters on matters like guns, abortion rights, religion, gay marriage and race inequality. Granted, the U.K. has inequality issues, but we don’t have that kinda stuff on the ballot per se. It’s nuts.

Pretty much, PA and GA are just up for bragging rights now. AZ, MI, WI, and, NE #2 of all places, have already seemingly changed to course of history. Fingers crossed, but with each passing hour, it's becoming more and more a narrow Biden victory in the EC and a substantial beatdown in the national popular vote. Best estimates right now if the Biden will have 5-6 million more votes.
