I hope so, far as I'm aware everything left to count is mail in for every state which *should* mean it won't flip back once it goes blue. I just don't have any confidence with how close this has been.

WI and MI are now showing blue on Politico.

Isn't that a Biden win if that holds?

Ehhh, I hate words on flags (especially that particular phrase ) but it's miles better than the sideways Fench Flag with a fucking confederate flag over it.

    Baby steps I guess.

    Michigan turns blue!!!!

Based on what i'm reading at the conservative reddit page it sounds like it's over, they are happy that they can keep the Senate and just spend the next couple of years obstructing Biden.

Its because the republican party could never win on economic issues. Economically they are far far too friendly to the plutocrat class.

So they've indoctrinated their voter base on other issues.

So go back to the pre-Reagan Republican party and abortion really wasn't a big thing politically like it is now. Nor was gun ownership.

So they get them voting on other stuff while continuing to stuff money into the pockets of their billionaire donors and the republican base ignores it and blames immigrants for their economic woes.

ALmost, if Politico "sim" is accurate if you give WI and MI to Biden then Trump has 2 ways left to win which just means that everything else has to turn Red including Nevada.

Yes, provided that NV and AZ hold, which seems likely. Pretty much the only votes left to be counted in the nation are mail-in/provisional/absentee, they normally skew Dem, but during COVID they HEAVILY skew Dem, Dems take COVID seriously, Republicans didn't and voted in person. So, it's extremely likely that any movement that happens today or moving forward will skew heavily towards Biden.

Essentially, if Biden is leading in a state right now, he's almost certainly going to hold and expand that lead. Trump is still vulnerable to lose close states, like GA and PA for the same reason.

Downhill is a colloquialism that means it's easy. Riding a bike downhill is much easier than uphill. Walking down a hill is much easier than walking up that hill. The opposite of, "an uphill climb."

It's not ideal. but jeez this country is so fucked right now, even with biden. but Trump is done. the main problem with the GOP right now, is that Trump outperformed which means he's still gonna have a stranglehold on the party, which isn't gonna be good for them long term.

It looks like if Biden wins Nevada, MI, & WI and Trump wins PA, NC, & GA

That Biden will win 270. Right now he is at 238 with 32 from those three states

Nevada is going to biden. The outstanding votes are mostly in reno and vegas.

Honestly this was always the best case scenario for the GOP.

They get rid of Trump and can spend the next 2-4 years whining and bitching like they did to Obama.

it actually feels like the opposite Rs basically only win on economic issues to me imo, trump was favored on economic policy in all these states even though they didnt like his covid response or immigration policy or response to george floyd, only way i can imagine the "shy" trump vote now is people like 50 cent who say " sure he dosent like black people, but i cant pay 60% in taxes" whether or not thats true on actual policy, they clearly put their economic interest over social and democratic norms

There's major things Biden/dems can't do if republicans control the senate, but there's still a tremendous amount of good they can do.

2022 is a more favorable senate map for dems. If Biden wins and dems hold the house in 2022, then that's a solid two years to get more done.
