At end the of the day, humans are animals and instincts are still very strong in our DNA.

Negative behaviors of today like tribalism and racism helped humanity survive in the past so those things have stuck around today.

We know the best way to combat that is with education but as we all know it is very lacking in the US.

So Biden is looking like he'll win if current votes/trends hold, but if he doesn't also pick up PA it's going to be by the skin of his teeth. If he takes over with a GOP-controlled Senate after barely winning I'm betting we'll see obstruction from McConnell that would make the shit he pulled under Obama look like bipartisanship. Especially with hose close MI and WI are looking.

Biden can work with this GOP... that was his calling card during the 80s and why he is such an easy target for leftists through the 90s.

The support for government healthcare is defined by “keep government out of my Medicare” and ACA beating ObamaCare decisively in polling. It hinges on rhetoric describing the government healthcare... Trump has succeeded in demonizing Medicare for all, without much opposition from leftists.

That the money donated didn't really flip many Republican votes, so the Lincoln Project was pretty much a failure at its stated goal. It is, and always was, a "feel good" group for liberals who wanted to believe that there were "good Republicans" (there are) who would and could flip Republican voters. Apparently they believed it to the tune of $67M, and that money could have been spent much better in a ton of other places.

If you want to take the dimmest view possible, liberals basically funded a conservative political group that wouldn't be able to find work within their party in the current political climate.
