These people aren't going to be convinced by policies because their votes are not policy based.

I'm not talking about Republicans or Trump supporters, I'm not a delusional liberal who thinks Democrats can win over Republicans by throwing money at the Lincoln Project.

I worked the polls in NC. Every voter got their own pen (to keep) to fill out ballots, and all voting booths were wiped down between each voter. 99.9% of voters wore masks, and we enforced distancing. I worked about 12 days for early voting and election day, and as far as I know I haven't caught anything.

As a resident of North Carolina, I thank you for your work and the risks you took. I just wish our voters and our legislature could stop being such an embarrassment and a disappoint to our families, our nation, and the history books.

Trump honestly shouldn't have gotten in 20% of the vote if weren't so fucked in the head, not only that, we re-elected Tillis after he decided to let someone off the hook for bribery, extortion, and trying to get a foreign nation to interfere in our elections and we even got him on recording talking if Clinton had won he would do what he could to make sure never to fill a seat for the next 4 years.

Really, our state feels like it has been nothing but a disappointment for as long as I can remember.

We have way more mail in votes than previous elections. As well as a higher than ever voter turn out. It is going to take some time. This should have been expected.

Because a lot of the races are still very close and dependent on mail-in ballots of which there were a lot. Plus, in many states, mail-in ballots are not allowed to be counted until election day so the fact that they were turned in early doesn't mean they were counted early.

The Lincoln Project was always a far-right conservative thing. This isn't news to anyone who was paying any attention to anything. The only difference was that they were Bush-era Republicans and decided to take a stand against Trump.

It isn't a "new Agenda" at all. It's always been their agenda.

I mean, that's a nice video that got him blocked, but I'd hope most of us were well aware that these were hardcore Republicans that were only temporary allies in removing Trump (and getting a paycheck since no Republican will hire them right now) and wouldn't be happy and able to achieve an erection unless they knew we were spending tens of millions of dollars to bomb poor brown people for their oil.

Iirc, NV is not counting any more votes until tomorrow. I don't know why, but I think it's suspended.

Yea, I believe NV has already reported all in person election day results, and any early voting or mail-ins received by 11/2. I think the update tomorrow is for additional legal mail-in ballots received post 11/2. I think I heard additional counting will start 9 AM pacific time tomorrow with results later in the day.

There were unfortunately tons of liberals who fucking fell for it and I hope everyone calls them out on it and shames them for it. If we want a strong left in this country, we can't have people on the left throwing their money at Republican grifters to "resurrect the Republican Party". Absolutely not.

I had to run some errands today, listened to some AM radio to see how they were handling it. Let's just say, not well.

For the brief car ride I took, I'm pretty sure I heard all 5 stages of grief.

It started with denial about how it could possible happen to Republican strongholds like Wisconsin, Arizona, and Michigan.

It then turned to Anger about how America was going to fail under Biden.

It then turned to bargaining how in Wisconsin, Jo Jorgensen siphoned away 30,000 Republican votes and at Kanye for not getting on the ballot.

Then it turned to Depression as they took calls from Libertarian voters. They wanted to know why? One of the libertarians compared it to waking up and being forced to decide if you want to smash your right big toe or left big toe with a hammer. And at least they could sleep well at night even if Jo didn't win.

Then it turned to Acceptance as he discussed how Trump shouldn't contest Wisconsin and concede and not end up turning this election into 2000 Florida.
