When I said there would be more violence. I didn't think it'd be so close to home, literally.

Heard over 10 gunshots earlier today with a lot of angry shouting in my sleepy little suburb in Georgia that votes almost entirely liberal with signs for Biden on almost every yard. It seems the Trumperrorists are MAD. These gunshots went off in a neighborhood where I've otherwise heard gunshots maybe twice in my over 30 years of living here, and they were individual gunshots, not repeated ones. It was reported to the police, and it took them awhile to get here because there have been similar reports all over my largely blue county.

When Trump claimed that violence in America would increase and it would be less safe under Biden, I scoffed, thinking he meant that Biden would go easy on rioters and black crime, but now I realized it wasn't Trump talking about that. It was just another dog whistle to his supporters.

The 2020 election is over, and while people say that it should be be called to stop the violence, I think calling it will cause all the more violence to erupt than it already has. Many of the lunatics are sitting out there, clinging to their guns, hoping that their god king will take this to the courts and take it back from Biden. But the moment it becomes clear that Trump just is not getting reelected, I can see them running out in small unorganized mobs or as lone shooters, targeting people with Biden signs in their yard.

Luckily, my red state makes it hard for felons to vote, so hopefully law enforcement catches these terrorists and can remove them from the voting populace, and get them away from people in general.

It was comforting to hear a President for once offer empathy and hope to those who have suffered from COVID, and to hear, for once, from a president, a message about calm and unity.

I miss that. I really miss that.

The City Clerk of Rochester Hills, Mich., Tina Barton, shot back at GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel on Friday, refuting claims that 2,000 ballots previously marked for Republicans were given to Democrats.

"The accusation that 2,000 ballots were found is categorically false. As a Republican, I am disturbed that this is intentionally being mischaracterized to undermine the election process," Barton said in a video posted to Twitter.
