I am sorry I am not a horrible masochist who wants to go down that very painful rabbit hole of severe stupidity and raving insanity.

Fox News and Newsmax, facing lawsuits, walk back wild fraud claims about voting-machine companies
It's good to see some accountability. The amount of lying that has gone on over the past four years, with little to no repercussions, has been astounding.

Hitting these people in the pocketbook is the only thing that these morons understand. When the very real threat of libel and slander against Dominion and Smartmatic or whatever their name is, lawsuits started being thrown around, they started changing their tunes. And to be honest, even with the retractions, they should still sue, because just like with Project Veritas slandering ACORN and whatnot, they still did serious damage throwing these bullshit claims around without evidence.

If anything they should bankrupt these dumbasses so they can't do it again, because as soon as the next bullshit claim comes out, they will move to that, without evidence.

This is the natural consequence of having a network whose very reason to exist is entertainment camouflaged as news,

You are in the odd position of giving your customers the product they expect from you so ....what happens when your customers want lies? This is the thing that happens: you are forced to make a statement that is basically "We tould you lies because you wanted lies!!!!" and hope that barely no viewers notice it.

If I had a tsunami of lawsuits waiting for me once I leave office, I'd damn well being doing the best fucking job ever to ensure I STAY in office and build up public goodwill as a bulwark against said lawsuits. Not just insisting that everything is fine and I'm the greatest ever in the face of all evidence to the contrary.

FOX News fleeing in fear isn't exactly ground-shaking, they are a major network and want to get to more people.

Newsmax is a surprise. I thought they wanted that small but devoted crazy-ass-cultist market, and would go to most any length to keep it.

They probably want the money it generates more than that, and getting dragged into a legal battle they’re likely to lose hampers that.

Yea I was surprised too, I'm going to guess the lawsuits had more fangs than I realized.

I don't think it's fear, per se; I just don't think it matters much to them. They'll back down on those certain claims under threat of lawsuit, but then they'll just choose a different tack and push forward just as hard.

When they know that the obedient swamp-people will eat up whatever shit they profer, they likely couldn't care less about which vintage they're shoveling; none of their viewers will wise up and take them to task for it.

You would not believe the amount of bullshit Q followers warp into their worldview. 6 months ago, when they were niche af, I'd agree. But that small base isn't that small anymore, they have at least once surpassed fox in ratings now, and overall their ratings have skyrocketed, in the last month, which will effect future advertisement deals. They'll still go full throttle with conspiracies, even whackier than fox, just now sometimes they'll make a tiny short disclaimer that nobody will pay attention to or care about.

Trump just issued a ton of pardons for people like Van der Zwan, Duncan Hunter, Papadopolous, Chris Collins, and 4 Blackwater guards that were involved an an Iraq Massacre, 2 border patrol agents that were convicted of a 2006 shooting and injuring of undocumented immigrants and covering it up.

So much for the party of "law and order".

Man, I'm all for pardons and commutations and shit but like...really? Duncan Hunter? Who stole campaign money with his wife, lied about it, threw his wife under the bus and tried to blame her, and then pretended to violate the terms of his release by pretending to cross the border?

I'm surprised Papadopolous, who was just a covfefe boy, was important enough to warrant a pardon. Getting really mixed signals.

I can't count the number of times I've heard conservatives express their desire to see muslims slaughtered over the past 20 years. Maybe some dems felt that way, but I didn't hear them say it.

If I had to pick a phrase repeated the most, it would be something like, "They should just turn the entire middle east to glass". I don't think very many republicans, especially Trump supporters, are going to care about the lives of those people given that they're not only muslim, but not white also.

He pardoned Blogoyovich, who not only tried to sell Obama’s congressional seat, but defrauded a school for disabled children... months ago... scum bag. :|

Dominion security chief sues Team Trump.

Eric Coomer, security director at the Colorado-based Dominion Voting Systems, said he wants his life back after being named in false charges as a key actor in “rigging” the election for President-elect Joe Biden. There has been no evidence that the election was rigged.

His lawsuit, filed Tuesday in district court in Denver County, Colorado, names the Trump campaign, lawyers Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, the website Gateway Pundit, Colorado conservative activist Joseph Oltmann, and conservative media Newsmax and One America News Network.

“I have been thrust into the public spotlight by people with political and financial agendas but, at heart, I am a private person,” Coomer said in a statement.

“While I intend to do everything I can to recapture my prior lifestyle, I have few illusions in this regard,” he said. “And so, today, I put my trust in the legal process, which has already exposed the truth of the 2020 presidential election.”

His lawyers said Coomer has become “the face of the false claims.” Coomer’s name first got public exposure in a podcast by Oltmann, who claimed to have heard a strategy call of Antifa activists. When the prospect of a Trump victory was brought up, Oltmann said a man identified as “Eric from Dominion” supposedly said “don’t worry about the election, Trump is not going to win. I made ... sure of that,” adding an expletive.

In an opinion piece written for the Denver Post, Coomer wrote that he has no connections to Antifa, was never on any call and the idea that there is some recording of him is “wholly fabricated.”
If I remember correctly from the, oh, "one or two" discussions on the topic, you can go after someone for slander or libel if they
    a) knew what they said was false, and
    b) knew what they said was damaging, and
    c) they are a private citizen not a public figure.
c2) Yelling someone's name until everyone knows it does not make them a public figure.

    b) and c) are slam dunks. Newsmax and OANN don't have the recording if there is no recording. Either way, should be a pretty quick case.

No. Because as we know, the council consists only of 12. 13th member is the horned rat/ god.

In a pyramid under the CIA, which would explain a lot.
