Order is being gavelled in the House, it looks like. Vote stands at 122 to 299 (10 NV). GoP voted 122 to 81 in favor.
This is what I was referring to in my comment from earlier. I should have clarified it was due to COVID precautions.

I always find the ceremony behind political process amusing. The wee speech that they have to make for every certificate is amusing me.

And we're about to get to Georgia. I think Loeffler was going to be the one to object, so we'll see if another objects in her place...

And the answer is yes. Nevermind, the Senators withdrew their objection, so it's moot. Thank god.

Well, fuck. Objection raised for Georgia.

    - - - Updated - - -

Or maybe not, lol. They tried to object without Loeffler's continued support.

    Smackdown.

Pennsylvania will likely still be objected to; that's Hawley's objection.

    We'll see about the others.

Michigan is next, I think? At least of ones that might field an objection.

I mean, at this point why not. They made their point, it resulted in horrifying violence for which they are now forever irreprably linked. Nothing says "whoopsie daisy!" like backing away slowly and claiming it was someone else.

Hawley's not going to back down. And he'll have plenty of House Reps to support his shenanigans.

Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin... am I missing any potential objections?

I wonder if at any point in the history of this process if there has been a certificate that was found to be irregular in form and/or inauthentic.

An objection from PA House members won't have any support in the Senate. Not sure about the others.

Hawley has already stated he will object to Pennsylvania.

And now we get a Rep objection to Michigan... do we have a Senator?

    Haha, nope.

Doesn't the objection have to come from a senator of that state?

DC mayor extends state of emergency until Jan 21.

There will be no more of this ratfuckery. One attempt at insurrection is already one too many, but the next one, people are getting fucking shot in the face.

Nevada is next. After that, it comes to Pennsylvania

The certificate of the electorate of any given state can only be objected to IF:

    1. Submitted in writing. - AND -
    2. Signed by both a member of the House AND Senate.
