One battle at a time. A lot has changed, most notably the stimulus bills that visibly gave a LOT of money to the wealthy and some money to everyone else. The problems with our health care system have been magnified significantly by the virus.

It is too late to do anything though. Unless Biden loses, which seems unlikely at this stage, you have 8 years of a corporate lapdog doing the bidding of Wall St. If Trump wins you have 4 years of Wall St - but even if a progressive emerges as a presidential candidate almost the entire democrat infrastructure is designed to help the wealthy-it would take at least a decade to get rid of it.

What is happening with the handouts to big business right now and the mass evictions, literal starvation that will follow is not just bad for most poor Americans. It is a literal extermination. They won't have the numbers, money, organization or ability to do anything to stop mass automation and a permanent exclusion from society. This is passive ethnic cleansing.

SO FAR, this has not been effective.

As the two septuagenarians battle it out, a poll July 2 from Monmouth University found 52% of voters saying they believe Biden has the mental and physical stamina to be president versus 45% for Trump.

More troubling for the president, Biden has moved ahead among voters 65 or older in several national surveys, including a significant 14-point advantage in a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday, helping propel him to double-digit leads nationally. Trump won seniors by 7 percentage points in 2016 over Hillary Clinton, according to exit polls, with white senior voters a key part of his coalition.

On the other hand, his campaign just started. "But her emails" ended up being quite effective 4 years ago.

In a Biden campaign memo earlier this month, deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield sought to debunk each of Trump's attacks. Bedingfield said ample polling shows “voters aren’t buying Trump’s smear” and have concerns about Trump’s own fitness to lead the country.

The Biden campaign has to fight back hard against this. The problem is that Trump has so many negatives that it is hard to focus on 1 or 2. If the Biden campaign focuses on 1 or 2 major negatives like "Trump says to Drink Bleach for Covid protection" they will probably do better.

I am really hoping that Trump drops down to the low 30s. At that point his attacks almost don't matter.

Hey, I don't agree in the least that he was joking. That's just the standard reply for every time he says something phenomenally stupid. So instead of going after what he says--which they ignore EVERY time, because you HAVE to if you support him otherwise you can't listen to any of his speeches or read any transcripts--you go after what he does. Or in this case, DOESN'T. He made no real condemnation about the bounties that I saw, he hasn't expanded healthcare and he hasn't increased "JOBS JOBS JOBS".

Oh he was never joking. I guess the thing to remember is: the goal of the ads are to keep the base going, and to peel off a few more republicans. So no need to worry about hard core Trump supporters lying about Trump's intentions.

A decent idea would be to take the best of what anti-Trump republicans use against Trump. They are doing a great job. No need to reinvent the wheel
