We're a little over 100 days from election (100 days and 11 hours)... A lot of unknowns, but to me the biggest figure continues to be that no prez with a net approval anywhere close to Trump's (-15 pts) at this point has ever been re-elected.

    National YouGov/CBS Poll:

    Biden 51% (+10)
    Trump 41%

A 6 point shift towards Biden in 2 months

    Polling USA

Biden has an almost 7 point lead in Florida.
Florida is likely D right now.

The GOP has not won a presidency without Trump's home state of Florida.
The numbers on a state by state basis for the 15 states targeted by Democrats are even more interesting.

Looking at 15 targeted states, Biden has increased his advantage by an average of about 4.5 points:

Colorado: +12 Biden gain (from Biden +3 to +15)
Wisconsin: +8 (from Trump +1 to Biden +7)
Arizona: +7 (from Trump +4 to Biden +3)
    Minnesota: +6 (from Biden +5 to +11)
New Hampshire: +5 (from Biden +2 to +7)
    Michigan: +5 (from Biden +3 to +8)
    Florida: +5 (from Biden +2 to +7)
    Virginia: +5 (from Biden +5 to +10)
    Pennsylvania: +4 (from Biden +3 to +7)
Texas: +4 (from Trump +4 to even)
Iowa: +4 (from Trump +4 to even)
    Nevada: +2 (from Biden +5 to +7)
Ohio -1 (Biden leads by 1)
North Carolina +0 (Biden leads by 2)
Georgia +1 (Trump leads by 1)

How Trump's administration spending their advertising money is also telling. Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Ohio, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Iowa, Texas and Florida. They are strictly playing defense right now. Just trying to keep what they had in 2016. In TX Trump and the GOP are outspending Biden 15M investment by a factor of more than 3 to 1. Biden just started advertising in Florida, while Trump and the GOP has already spent 41M.

I heard somebody said that the GOP basically has a dog food problem. They think that they had the best dog food in the world, they wrapped it in the best packaging that money can buy, spent hundreds of millions on the slickest advertising campaign. They just have one problem. The dogs won't eat the food.

Graham, Harrison in statistical tie in Senate race: internal poll
    In the interest of transparency;

The survey, conducted by veteran Democratic pollster Cornell Belcher, finds Graham at 43 percent and Harrison at 41 percent. That's within the survey's 3.5-point margin of error.
    ----

Graham will likely still win it, but he needs to pay more close attention.

No. Don't ever, ever get comfortable with a lead.

Mike Dukakis had a 17-point lead over Bush in '88 at this point in the year and see how well that turned out for him.

This needs to be fought every-fucking-day until November. And possibly even past that depending on the depths Trump and the GOP are willing to go to steal the election.

This election is not ending in November, even if Biden wins by a land slide in both popular and electoral...

Um taking that poll out of context is dumb. Like being a professional bed-wetter is dumb.

For the kids, that was the convention bounce for Dukakis in 1988.

I can only imagine Biden's bounce from the virtual convention.

People are gonna crap their beds 2x when Biden gets a bounce from the VP announcement.

I think it will be 4x, when Barr announces they are investigating Biden’s email with Ukraine, 2 weeks before election.

Edit: Trump is a man that is groveling before world leaders, demanding they announce an investigation, when he has Barr ready to act.

If i was bidens campaign manager
and dems were actually machevellian and wanted to win elections
    theres lots of *economic anxiety*
they could make like a video of trump with kanye in the oval office with offensive rap music in the background, it wouldnt be kanyes music since hes stuff is mostly fine but put some like hardcore gangaster rap " while trump was courting rappers! joe biden was doign X" Thatd be seen as soo racist but people in swing states would eat it up
they could run joe bidens speech on the crime bill trump wants to say biden is soft on crime in regards to vandals and whatnot put an ad with joe biden saying he wants the death penalty for every offense but jaywalking

Cool, thanks for the needless ad hominem and no, it's not dumb. Being complacent would be. Being in the lead is fantastic, but it should never be taken for granted regardless of the margin.

You think those moves are going to backfire on Trump/Barr?

    GOP plan was released.

Posted some details that will show the Republicans main priorities...hint, not the unemployed.
But they did manage to somehow increase tax breaks to corporations.

in the initial draft Amazon could get up to 1.6 billion dollars in tax credits just to protect their workers. Basically us paying for their cost of business.

Walmart...sit down for this one.... 4.5 billion dollars in tax credits.

Got a link to the whole bill as well there.

So, as predicted, the Republican plan isn't terribly concerned about people but is terribly concerned about multi-billion dollar corporations that treat their workers like shit.

    Shocking.

At least they give it to independent contractors too, but of course that is limited to $1k.

lol paying for Walmart's "cleaning supplies". Wouldn't want to impact the Walton's family 192 billion dollar fortune.

"modifications to workspaces for the purpose of protecting employees and customers from the spread of COVID-19". Basically pays for the whole modification of Amazon's warehouses for them.

Section 213 – Safe and healthy workplace tax credit
This section establishes a refundable payroll tax credit equal to 50 percent of an employer’s
“qualified employee protection expenses,” such as testing for COVID-19, protective personal
equipment, cleaning supplies, “qualified workplace reconfiguration expenses,” including
modifications to workspaces for the purpose of protecting employees and customers from the
spread of COVID-19, and “qualified workplace technology expenses,” including contactless point of-sale systems and other technology to track employee interactions with customers. Qualified workplace reconfiguration expenses and qualified workplace technology expenses must have a
primary purpose of preventing the spread of COVID-19 among other requirements.
An employer’s qualified employee protection expenses, qualified workplace reconfiguration
expenses, and qualified workplace technology expenses are limited based on the employer’s
average number of employees. In each calendar quarter, qualified expenses cannot exceed a cap
based on the average number of employees. The cap is equal to $1,000 for each of the first 500
employees, plus $750 for each employee between 500 and 1000, plus $500 for each employee that
    exceeds 1,000.

The credit also permits self-employed individuals, including sole proprietors, independent
contractors, and farmers, to claim a refundable credit against income taxes for the same types of
COVID-19 related expenses. Self-employed individuals are treated as if they are an employer with
a single employee for purposes of the credit.

The credit applies to amounts paid or incurred for qualified employee protection expenses after
    March 12, 2020 and before January 1, 2021.

Given the dead cat doesn't have the supporting documents required to fill it out and mail it back I think we'll be fine.

Also I think it would be pretty difficult for the dead cat to sign the ballot.

Methinks we don't really need to worry about a "Weekend at Fluffy's" situation here.

I agree, there is a great many disingenuous people who are pushing misinformation in order to sway voters.

(Looks at who I'm talking to)

    Oh, this is awkward.
