Kamala's attacks on Biden in the primary debate may actually have helped her get the nomination. It showed, as you said, that she really can throw a punch, and do a good job of it as well.

I'm excited to see her go on the attack. She can be the bad cop to Biden's good cop.

One thing that I am a bit worried about is that she reached peak campaign performance during the primaries when she had already lost and all but conceded. She was great at her last debate when she had nothing to lose. I hope she keeps that carefree and slightly reckless momentum going.

So, more thoughts on Kamala; I believe I mentioned this much earlier when Biden committed to picking a woman of color, but her being both POC and...well, a former cop... has certain advantages even if it does introduce disadvantages.

But yeah I mean this is as probably as good as we were gonna get. At least Harris' earlier policy positions were a lot more to the left than Biden's.
