Actually that issue is already addressed in a couple of laws.

A law passed in 1845 marks the first Tuesday in November as the general election date. An older law in 1792 requires the general election to be held by the third Wednesday in December.

The 20th amendment of the Constitution also states if no candidate is ratified by Jan 20th, then the current sitting president and VP are removed from office and the line of secession will be followed.

End result if the election is cancelled Nancy Pelosi becomes president by default.

No, because if there's no election, Nancy, like the rest of the House, is out of office on January 3rd.

So we move on to the next in the line, President pro tempore of the Senate, which is Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). He'll still be in office, like 64 other senators, because he isn't up for reelection this year.

First Congress has to change things to provide for there not being an election as there is not a provision in the Constitution if there is not an election. There exists a hole in the event no election takes place. There is no provision for it.

Also if there is no election then the Senate will not have 1/3 of the Senate reelected. Yes, the governors could just fill those vacancies. But would it be quick enough before the Senate held its elections on Jan. 4th before a new President Pro Tempore is elected. Grassley loses his spot Jan 3rd as well unless voted by the Senate. I think the Senate would be a majority Democrat if this is the case.

For the umpteenth time, states run the House elections. As long as California has their elections (and they're working hard to have mail-in elections) and Nancy wins her seat back, which'll be easy, she'd be President.

Trump and the federal government can't cancel elections on the state level. They can't even cancel an individual state's attempts to have a Presidential election. The idea might be that some GOP states might do some shenanigans and cancel elections, but all that does is make the 270 electoral vote needed harder to reach.

Yeah, but the choice of not taking a vaccine or not taking social distancing rules seriously affect people outside of your body. Thus bodily autonomy doesnt apply.

"Lack of understanding". By implication you believe her lack to be inferior and yours to be somehow superior.

I do not think you have a superior understanding of anything.

Here we see the wild Karen emerging. It has been startled. Angry it makes itself appear bigger and begins to make a threatening screech, warning others to stay back or it will demand to see a supervisor. But these nurses have been through a lot and remain unfazed by an angry Karen. The Karen will probably sulk and head back home, re-soundly humiliated in the stand off.

There is no merit in someone judging others intelligence, when they are talking about the superiority of those who see the obvious. Wtf?

You have an uncanny ability to make people look foolish so I'm not buying that at all, lol.

    More Unity for progressives.

Over 50 scientists, including prominent climate experts, are out with an open letter endorsing Joe Biden just ahead of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.
Biden will listen to facts and real scientists to come up with climate change policy. Ya know, instead of having Jared write up a book report and appointing 3 cronies from the golf course.

Just goes to show that progressivism became a meaningless word co-opted by centrists.

The problem, those this should be appealing to, think that everyone that isn’t Trump and his golf cronies, is the deep state establishment Clintanistas... I’ve made this argument a few times before, but using NASA will not convince a flat earther. Using Trump’s own words is even unlikely to work, since there will always be... ‘what he really meant’...

Pragmatism and progressive are not antonyms.

Pragmatism, which is what supporting Biden is, was literally born out of progressive ideology.

So...did you read it? Or is this just attacking scientists because they endorsed Biden and no decent person can endorse Biden. Except Bernie Sanders.

Because the text of their endorsement isn't objectionable in the slightest.

It's just putting a nice tidey bow on things. For the US, coalition building always happens before the election.

Also, Biden restoring Bears Ears and Escalante is a big plus.
