The Kamala Harris pick is a hit with voters
The ABC News/Washington Post poll similarly indicates that Americans approve of Biden selecting Harris. In that poll, 54% of Americans approve of the Harris selection and 29% disapprove. Perhaps most importantly, Democrats overwhelmingly approve of the pick (by an 86% to 8% margin) as do independents (52% to 29%).
Likewise, 60% of voters are either enthusiastic or satisfied with Harris being Biden's running mate in a CBS News/YouGov poll. More voters, or 36%, say they're glad with the selection than say they wish it was somebody else at 23%.Government Affiliated Snark

Most of the recent polls I can see have Biden up 8-12 nationally. He's also within the margin of error or ahead in several battleground states that Trump won in 2016. That includes a few states that republicans shouldn't be in danger of losing, but are because of how terrible Trump has been.
What a colossal fucking mistake by the GOP. If they had nominated Kasich we could potentially be looking at another 2-4 years of complete republican control with the presidency and congress. So if something happens like a dodgy authoritarian candidate that polled 2% in the primaries gets selected as VP then you look ONLY at the polls to see if there has been an impact. In Harris's case that is either "none" or "negative".
