They know how to make compelling TV...for a certain audience. True but these things are usually planned months in advance, it seems that they are doing this on the fly as Trump is constantly changing his mind. He also wants everything to be live either way it's going to be fun watching this train wreck.

I've made a bunch of posts recently about how the GOP doesn't have an ideology; they stand for "fuck the libs", and that's as far as it goes. Maybe a bit of rank bigotry of various flavours in there, which is "fuck the libs" in spirit even if the hate may be the original vector.

Really, this is just an official admission that I was right about that, and it wasn't in any way hyperbole.

In my opinion people on Gen-OT are a bit too obsessed about who makes a certain post or has a certain opinion than they care about what is actually said or stated in the post. This isn't very healthy behavior in my eyes and it reeks of tribalism to me.

At the very least it is not respectful or a constructive way to communicate with people.

I do actually agree with the sentiment behind your post, and personally feel that everyone should be treated with respect and decency...up to a point. When a person shows a certain pattern of behavior, particularly one where it's obvious that they're just trolling for a reaction, they deserve to be called out on it, particularly as a warning to any newcomers that might wander into the thread.

When a person shows a certain pattern of behavior, particularly one where it's obvious that they're just trolling for a reaction, they deserve to be called out on it, particularly as a warning to any newcomers that might wander into the thread.

It’s actually a pretty dumb thing to say, when there is the ignore button and I know for a fact that they use it. If you obsess over a poster, those posters a have a recourse. If one keeps putting people on ignore, to result in no one speaking to them, it shows a different problem...
