Trump's idea to cut the payroll tax? Yeah, it'll bankrupt Social Security by 2023. Part of me almost wants it to happen because maybe the old racists will start wondering where their SSI checks are and start to slowly piece together that they've been fuckin had.

But it will cause too much suffering to actually want that.

Glad I've basically been planning and budgeting in the expectation that Social Security/Medicare will be bankrupt by the time I retire. Living frugally as hell isn't always the most fun, but at least I'll have savings and investments to fall back on after the programs I've spent decades contributing to end up falling apart without me seeing a penny in return.

I thought maybe I was just being bias, but I guess it really did look like Jr was high on something since several thousand other people noticed the same thing.

Also, it's perfectly fine to have issues with Biden and the DNC. I sure as hell do. That doesn't change the fact that Trump and the current republican party (with a few exceptions) are corrupt and hate democracy. They're actively trying to turn the US into a fascist dictatorship. On top of that, they are incompetent.

I suppose if you live in a dictatorship it can suck since you could be murdered and have your organs harvested if you have the wrong opinion about something, but you'd hope at least the government would be halfway decent at handling business. With Trump you get all of the corruption and absolutely nothing in return.

Having Trump in the white house makes us worse off if it were just empty. No executive branch. Just let all the previous people do what they were doing and the US would be in a better place right now.

It makes no logical sense to vote Trump if you care at all about the future of the US. Doesn't matter if you are conservative and don't like liberals. Suck it up, admit the GOP fucked up, and regroup for later this decade. Maybe let go of all the evil shit.

You're right they shouldn't pander to Bernie. The very least they could do is acknowledge the 40% of Democrats who voted for his platform. Instead of trying to curry favor with Never Trumpers who were never going to vote for him anyways, and more than likely would have voted for the Conservative Biden regardless.

They do acknowledge it... Bernie supporters need to stop pretending to be victims.

I saw more Sanders coverage than just about any other candidate last year and up until the primaries it really seemed like he was going to run away with it given how much attention he was given. And yet, the time to vote came and what we got from the Bernie crowd was a lot of crickets from the bulk of the nation.

At some point you have to stop blaming "the establishment".

My state is going to the Democrats, and it isn't even going to be close to contested. So doesn't matter how the hell I vote at the top of the ticket. That being said if you don't see the similarities from 2016 then aren't paying attention. Biden could have picked Kasich as a VP running mate and some of the people here would probably be praising him. Hell I'm surprised the Bush Family didn't show up at the DNC this year with all the Republicans they had.

You act as if you are the only one doing it. But, there are dozens just like you on this little site alone.
