Users "allow" them to when they have no control?
And we know the Trump camp has been dinged multiple times for false/misleading ads, but has the Biden camp?
We agree that the micro-targeting is kinda awful and I hate it but like, that's the game I'm talking about. Like it or not, those are the rules the other team plays by and if you're not gonna play by those same rules you're intentionally hobbling your campaign.
We haven't seen anywhere near the level of Facebook ad fuckery on other sites, yet. Some on Twitter, but again that's from the Trump camp. And I'm hopeful that Democrats can take the White House and both chambers of Congress, and we can hold their feet to the fire and demand they start pushing through campaign finance reform a la HR1. That way we don't need to worry about this kind of bullshit mattering at all.
And if they don't, we can find a new political party that will.
There's some real simping for Trump here.
Complaining loudly about Animal Crossing when there's concrete worry about the president having had mini-strokes, even though nobody reported that he had.
What’s the strategy here, exactly?

Am I the only one who is really bothered that the Kenosha killer is being called a "vigilante"?
Batman is a fucking vigilante.
This kid is a terrorist.
Oh right sorry he's white I forgot.
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
News from the MA primaries.
Markey looks to be ahead at the moment. Markey carrying the PMC vote .... both funny and ironic. 22% reporting.
The Intercept's candidate for that one congressional seat ... is way behind 39% reporting.

It literally isn't.
You have to opt-in to acquire the images. Either by directly implementing them yourself, or visiting a friend who invites you who did so themselves.
This isn't even really "advertising". Community outreach, sure. But these aren't being inserted into people's lives; they serve the same purpose as a T-shirt or lawn sign or whatever; people can get them to express their own personal support.
Attacking this isn't a move against advertising. It's a move against private personal speech. That's all this is; people choosing to support a political message, in an online environment built to allow personal expression.
So it's like those t-shirts or lawn signs, except if you don't want to see them, you never will.
That's precisely why people Tucker or the Intercept or the New York Post are calling him a vigilante. They're glorifying his actions as 'justice'
Because they're scumbags who have abandoned any pretence of even trying to pretend like this isn't about race.
Side note: it's one of the reasons why I hate the Dark Knight Rises. It forgets the didactic foundation that the first two films setup to portray both sides of the GCPD. It shows them only as this well-meaning law enforcement unit that is up against it and ignores balance entirely.
I'm surprised no meme-lords out there haven't portrayed Biden as Bane and Trump as Batman. It's right up their street.

QUOTE=Krakan;52613088]That is side stepping the point I brought up. Given the rioters have shown themselves to be hypocrites with the riot after the suicide what can you offer them?
These are not noble souls looking for equality they already have it under the law. These are simply criminals attacking targets of opportunity.[/QUOTE]
Your point is moot because rioters are not protesters, if you quell the protest the rioters go away because they are just minnow ridding the coat tails of the protesters. Again this is not the first civil unrest in the US so not sure why you think this is different.
Anyone remember 3 weeks ago. What some posters with terminally bad political instincts said about Kamala?
350 million .... is that what enthusiasm looks like?

It's been in the chat since 2016. Trade chat for sure, but also General chat in the more populated areas. If you don't want to see it in the game, make sure you turn chat off.

Given how hilariously off they are about memes, they would unironically portray Trump as Bane. (Remember when they said he was Thanos?)
I seriously even don't know who Biden was number 1 for.
Even my mom who is an older Dem, and a WOC, wanted Buttigieg over Biden. I kept trying to tell her he was an empty suit but oh well.
I feel like this is an easy question to answer. Biden was performing so poorly that people thought he was out, then he goes to south carolina and wins literally every district and gets 48% of the vote and cleans up super tuesday. After that corona hit and the primaries stopped getting attention and he just increasingly snowballed as everyone took him as the defacto winner.
Biden carried the minority vote in the primary, that isn't to say other candidates wouldn't have also done so in the general but for the primary he was the pick.
