To be fair, that;'s not really true.

First of all, Dems have to stop conflating primary voting with how an actual election will go. They are not the same. Dems often vote not by policy but who they believe will win. For example, many dems lean Warren but still voted for Biden because they believed he had a better chance of winning.

Secondly, he didn't;t sink anything in Florida. The only people that were offended by the mischaracterization fo what he said about Castro, were Repubs and Cubans who are mostly Repub themselves. They weren't voting in the primary nor are they even going to vote Biden (if Covid didn't happen).

Lastly, there's no magical words Biden is going to string together to win Florida. I'm a Floridian. Dems have the numbers here if they are inspired to vote. Biden doesn't inspire them and never will. The only way the Dems win FL is if not wanting Trump to have another 4 is inspiring enough.

Seems like Biden isn't making great headway with the Hispanic vote and if he wanted to end any real chance Trump had he'd try and lock up Florida.

A new NBC News/Marist poll showed Joe Biden and Donald Trump tied with 48% among likely voters in Florida, with the same poll showing Trump ahead 50% to 46% among likely Latino voters statewide.

Five other polls of Florida released yesterday and today have Biden at +3, +3, +3, +5, and +5.

Of those five, I could only find racial breakdowns for two. This poll from St. Pete Polls has Biden at a 53.5/41.5% lead over Trump in the Hispanic vote.

This one from GQR only breaks it down to Cuban Hispanic and Non-Cuban Hispanic, showing about even (but inverted) splits for both. But since Non-Cuban Hispanic voters apparently outnumber Cuban Hispanic voters in Florida by about 2:1, it puts the overall Hispanic vote at about 51/44% for Biden over Trump.

Those aren't as good as Obama's 60/39% or Clinton's 62/35% margin in the last two elections, but it's not as bad as your other poll is indicating.
