To be exceptionally, incredibly clear, I don't give a fuck whose fault it is that we got here. That is not what is being discussed. I'm saying there are 25 million people in financial limbo, and democrats seem to be adopting an idiotic all or nothing strategy that makes no sense.

Why or why not do you support this dumb direction?
But that's not what is happening, republicans are having trouble coming up with a bill that's why the skinny version got proposed by McConnell. Their conference is in complete chaos over this because people like Ted Cruz want to be president and they suddenly want to be "fiscally responsible". You can't negotiate with a party when they can't even agree on what they want.

For you to have your "both sides" point republicans would have to have a bill that most of them agree on they don't. Let's also take into consideration they had months to come up with this, the house bill came to their desk a long time ago. The republican party decided to ignore the problem and scramble last minute because of the divisions.

Plus the disingenuous nature of the GOP proposing a bill theyb knew wouldn't pass, doesn't even come close to the $3T the House passed, doesn't offer actual relieve and help where it's needed most, or doesn't come close to the $2T the WH said it would be willing to accept and the House would meet, then have the gall to say the Dems don't want to help.

The Senate bill is the equivalent of a MMO-Champ bad faith poster drive by shitpost. It's the typical GOP applying a tiny bandaid to a large gushing wound when the Dems offered to stitch it up to solve the problem. All they want is to appear like they are doing something, when in reality they are doing nothing, while leaving the problem to fester. Then when the Dems get in control, they do everything to scream fiscal responsibility when Dems fix the problems the GOP created.

There is no both sides to this. This is all the fault if the GOP and their unwillingness to govern. They could have had a lock on the presidency, the Sentste and possibly won back the house if they actually cared about the American people and did what was fucking right.

You keep asking "What are the Democrats going to do?!" The Democrats have done all they can at this point. They passed a bill. They offered concessions on the bill. They offered to work with Trump and the GOP (and were turned down). They've reached a point now where what the GOP is proposing will hurt a LOT more people than it will help. It's not up to the Democrats anymore, it's up to the GOP.

Meanwhile, some positive news for the upcoming election:

Democrats build big edge in early voting

This part in particular gives me hope:

We can't ever get complacent, of course, because there's a shitton of time between now and November, but it is heartening.
No we can't. And I hate to be this guy, but after 2008, the black vote in my district dropped by almost 50% in 2010. But all I heard afterwards was how Obama didn't do shit for the African-American community. In 2012 it was 30% less than in 2008.

The first step is to voter this orange turd and his enablers out in Nov. The second step is to not stay at home in 2022 because if the Dems win back the WH and Senate, it could all come crashing down in 2 years.

Seriously fuck those guys and those that vote and support this shit. Especially the ones that love to hide behind the flag and claim they are patriots. It is fine to disagree politically. But what Mitch and the GOP have become is truly disgusting.

No. I meant if the Dems win the trifecta this year and people don't show up, it will be a 2010 all over again.

So basically if people don't show up to vote in 2022 yes? And then the Reps will win back the Senate and House? Sorry, I mis-edited as well.

No worries. This is what happened in 2010. Dems won everything huge. A decent chunk decided they did their part and didn't follow through in the midterms or 2012 and screwed everything up. But spent the majority of those 6 years complaining about how Obama didn't do anything when he couldn't because Dems lost the house and senate.

Also, McConnell getting shit done in the senate.
    • Sen. Mitch McConnell: "I ask unanimous consent the Senate proceed the consideration of S.Res.688 submitted earlier today."
    • Sen. Rick Scott: "The clerk will report."
    • Clerk: "Senate Resolution 688 designating Sept. 25, 2020, as National Lobster Day."

Biden needs to read answers to voter questions using a teleprompter. WTF is that?

It's becoming more and more obvious that Biden has some very serious cognitive issues.

    Edit: Here's the video.

I'm impressed you people didn't run out of teleprompter crybaby material after all the crybaby complaints you made when Obama used them.

    Are crybaby email complaints next?

Obama didn't use a teleprompter to answer questions in real time. Your false equivalence is intellectually dishonest.

And? No, seriously, so fucking what? When was the last time you've seen Trump answer questions in real time, and I don't mean his "I don't know, you don't know them, I'll tell you later, lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie lie, FAKE NEWS" style of answering questions.

You can't sit there and criticize cognitive issues while praising Trump.

Just so we are clear you know you support Donald Trump right? maybe find some other line of attack other than the thing your candidate is known for.

Trump allows reporters to ask him questions all the fucking time. Biden avoids reporter questions like the plague. Do you ever stop to wonder why?

The only thing this suggests is the teleprompter was too far away to read. it suggests nothing of his cognitive abilities. Sometimes politicians get questions in advance and have answers in advance. This is nothing new. All politicians do it.

This is just as bad as the teleprompter attacks on Obama when he was running. the GOP is really reaching to try and get this dementia/cognitive issue to stick. No one is buying it.

Oh really? So he's never walked away after someone asked him a question and then not answered? He's never berated and/or insulted the person asking him a question before and then not answered? He's answered every single question truthfully?

Lady, this won't go the way you think it will.

Remember that time Chris Wallace pointed out that Trump bragged about taking a Dementia test and claimed it was an IQ test? I mean, they're both 70+ year old dinosaurs, who do you think really doesn't get this by now?
