You should look up history of Presidents being criticized by Generals. Why do you think Gen. MacArthur was removed from his command of the US forces in Korea? And a commander in Afghanistan I think ( may have been in Iraq ) was relieved of his command for speaking out against Obama's policies for over there.

You are missing another very important part of why I could never vote for any candidate now who supports abortion on demand. While I understand it is a Constitutional right as per the Supreme Court, I do not support it in the way it is done for any reason at all. I support getting that ruling changed. Just like many support a repeal or amendment of the Second Amendment.

So you see, from my perspective ( and avoiding getting into a forbidden topic on here ) I think the Democrats are partly responsible for millions of unborn childern being killed. Since I believe our life starts at conception. A huge larger number have been killed by their support of such than the pandemic has killed. And I have not been this strong of a pro life until about 10 years ago.

I have no issues at all with Absentee voting by mail, which uses a system to verify the voter is legit. Nor does Trump. In fact, that is how I am going to vote this time.

There will be several reasons Biden will lose besides picking a terrible running mate ( once again, not saying he will lose ). He has made plenty of "deplorable" comments.

I know ol' Ghosty has me on ignore, but just for everyone else's benefit, this is a foolish and bad faith comparison. There is a huge difference between current Generals speaking out against the President, and former Generals speaking out against the President. Former Generals are just retired old people, they can say whatever they want. They traditionally do not weigh in on politics, and when dozens of them break that traditions with dire warnings about the threat this President poses to this nation, that is a really major warning sign that this President is NOT normal.

As far as the Generals that are still active, they have been disagreeing with Trump in a very different way, buy upholding the law. They keep "contradicting" the President when he says something blatantly illegal, and they have to tell the media we aren't doing that. So when Trump says we are going to kill all the families of ISIS, a General has to say that no, we aren't going to have a policy of murdering children. No, just because Trump keeps pardoning military war criminals does not mean it is OK for Soldiers to rape and murder local civilians. It isn't insubordination, just a President who keeps saying illegal shit, and Generals who have to keep assuring the public we will not be doing that illegal shit.

Any sane person that has read the thing hates it. Unlike the prevailing opinion, the Constitution was not written by Jesus and delivered by a Bald Eagle to George Washington riding a Grizzly Bear. It is a very old document with a LOT of obsolete bullshit that isn't relevant today. There is a crazy amount of stuff about militias (Which we don't have), authorizations for Privateers, and of course the infamous clause for inflating the political power of slave states.

It is a good foundation, but that doesn't mean you have to like what is actually in it. It is a good document because it evolves with us, not because it was ever perfect.

Ron Johnson is finally kicking into gear the highly anticipated senate investigation into Biden-Bursima, one of the long-teased GOP October "surprises". It doesn't appear to be going very smoothly though, which is great.

The investigation itself is obviously a joke and if anything has quite the risk of backfiring since it's directly tied to Russian propaganda. With enough crocodile tears and fake outrage though, it could blow up into something substantial that Biden will have to deal with. There is some hope it stays confined to Fox though, since already it's having to deal with some GOP resistance.

The bigger question is, on what grounds does that particular Trump supporter object? It can't be moral grounds, since there is no Trump moral / ethical / legal transgression great enough to withdraw his support. Transactional "values" aren't values at all.

I absolutely agree, it needs work. On that note, I find it hilarious when people call themselves originalists, and get angry at the thought of it being a living document. the United States Constitution was written by a cabal of racists, who were largely acting in their own best interests. Of course, that's what politics tends to be.

Members of the GOP would not go with a Payroll Tax cuts, because every state in the US relies on the Payroll Tax. Adding on top of that, It is up to congress to pass such Tax policy changes, not Trump, and the Democrats in their controlled house won't be passing it either as Democratic states are much more reliant on them. So unless you're afraid of the GOP getting control of the Senate, House, and Executive office in 2020. It isn't going to happen unless the GOP sweep the elections this year like they did in 2016. Which there is nothing to indicate that is even possible.
