1994... It’s pretty much the year, NRA suddenly couldn’t afford to lobby both Democrats and Republicans, with Clinton’s assault rifle ban making the choice for them. How can you afford to lobby both, when you have expensive taste like NRA leadership?

Edit: The whole NRA thing in the gun control thread is hilarious. It’s a mix of ‘once leadership is replaced’ and ‘there are other gun rights groups to donate to’... at an extreme level, it’s like surviving the Jim Jones koolaid, to look for another cult. Yeah, Trump signed more anti-2nd amendment laws/EOs than Obama did. Even though a Universal Background check law is supported by 90% of the country, and another assault weapons ban is supported by over 60% I believe.
