A part of Biden's policy is to ban high capacity magazines for firearms. While this is certainly a topic for the Mega Gun Control thread, but since it is also tied to a candidate's political policies and thus is also appropriate for this thread in my opinion.

For those who think the 10 round magazine limit is not a violation of the Second Amendment, the 9th circuit court thinks differently which ruled on the subject this year.

A federal appeals court ruled on Friday that California's ban on the possession of ammunition magazines that hold more than 10 rounds violates the Second Amendment.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed U.S. District Judge Roger T. Benitez's 2019 ruling against the ban on magazines holding more than 10 rounds. The 2-1 decision asserted the magazine ban, which made both future sales of affected magazines and the possession of those already legally purchased punishable by up to a year in jail, was incompatible with Supreme Court precedent on gun-rights guarantees in the U.S. Constitution. Judge Kenneth Lee, joined by Judge Connie Callahan, said the ban violated Californians' right to self-defense.

So it is a violation until the Supreme Court rules against this decision. If they do.

On one hand, I feel less anxiety when I zone out from the current state of politics and this election. Republican hypocrisy at the clearest focus its been in decades, openly supported by their voters. Trump stating that he has every intention of using a SC majority to fuck with an election. Trump's campaign legal advisors planning to end-run around the results, and replace electors in Republican states that go blue with loyal Republicans who will elect Trump regardless.

But then I remember, oh wait, even if my brain can relax by not thinking about it, it's still going to catch up eventually because Republicans won't fucking fix healthcare. I wouldn't mind our fascist overlords if they would at least fucking do something tangible for Americans.
