Man, talk about an image that's emblematic of this administrations covid response.

“We can get this pandemic under control so we can get our economy working for everyone," Biden said, speaking to press in Grand Rapids, Mich. "But this cannot be a partisan moment. It must be an American moment.”

Biden's remarks came after Trump announced early on Friday that he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for the virus, and were quarantining in the White House.

White House physician Sean Conley said on Friday that the president “remains fatigued but in good spirits” and received a cocktail of polyclonal antibodies as a precaution.

"I'd like to start by acknowledging, which I'm sure all of you do as well, sending my prayers for the health and safety of the first lady and the president of the United States," Biden said. "My wife Jill and I pray that they'll make a quick and full recovery."
Biden, even if he's not pausing campaigning, still showing Trump how to act with class.
Solid move on his part. Not being quiet, sending out a very "Presidential" message.

They should double-down on a) affordable healthcare for all b) crisis management in a pandemic c) racial inequality tying the economy, the pandemic and healthcare together d) climate change e) American made f) everything else that needs to be campaigned that isn't about Trump failing.

This is the time to actually spread the message about Biden.

Another smart move. I wonder if they will coordinate with The Lincoln Project and other Super-PACs to make sure attacks are either up or down. Not sure what the best strategy is going to be here. Delicate situation. What Biden cannot do is stop campaigning, which thankfully he is not.

Delaware's favorite son. Hey @Winter Blossom is this what you meant? Because it's the only one you're going to get. Even Pelosi savaged the guy. And I'm not stopping till he expresses genuine remorse or fails three saving throws.

Also: you'll be pleased to know that Trump's campaign will continue as planned! Just replacing Trump with Pence at events.

I cannot wait, I cannot wait to see those crowds. If Trump can't fill a room, Pence won't be able to fill a minivan.

Twitter is banning folks for tweeting that they hope Trump dies of covid.

I'm sure Republicans will condemn Twitter for their suppression of free speech aaannnnyyyyyyy mmmiiinnnuuuuttteeeeeee.

(I agree with the decision though)

I say keep hitting him while he's down, that's an automatic failed save.

Well yes, but he'll cover the full spread. There's a lot Trump screwed up. Lots of people still don't have jobs. Lots of countries have grown to loathe us. Like, more so. Lots of opportunity to say "let's restore the police to a position of trust". Lots of opportunity to say "no, I'm not taking your guns or banning fracking"

Lots of opportunity to pose with his faithful wife since 1977. Maybe in front of a few churches. Ethnicity TBD.

Trump has precious few leads on Biden on the issues. Biden can throw a brick and hit three to five topics America trusts him on. Let's tear down the Wall, and hand him some ammunition.

Reminder: Trumpworld LOVES being cruel and mean to everyone even if they're sick or suffer an accident.

Yet when it's Trump that sick they expect and demand empathy that the have consistently refused to give previously.

For the first time, potentially ever, all the WH staffers present appear to be masked according to pool reporters. This is not the norm, which has been for staffers to be maskless and not social distance.

I agree, but it might be tactically advantageous to take the pivot to hitting Pence, McConnell, Graham, and the other lowlifes on the ballot. Honestly, negative ads on Trump probably don't do much anyway, every already has a position. Time to clear ads while waiting to see if the boss resets.

I really hope he does though, and he should be given absolutely no courtesies if he pulls through. The main reason to stop now is because if he does die, you look like a massive piece of shit for trash talking him on his death bed. Of course, Trump did it to McCain, but that is kind of the whole point. It isn't hard to clear the bar Trump set.

Please, Trump has the worst dice imaginable, he only wins because he bribed the GM to make up the rolls.

He couldn't make a saving throw against an unarmed attack from a L1 mage.

White House remains pretty mum on the situation, this is wild how little we know about what is going on with Trump's health. Especially given his proclivity for Twitter and his abnormally long silence.

This made me want to play DND with Trump as a class.

That aside trumps love of fast food has taken a toll on his chances on survival.

ITS OK the nuts on twitter are making up for his absence.

They are saying trump is using this as a ploy to sneak out the back of the medical center so he can go off and fight the clinton gangs pedophile ring.
    Buh Byeeeeeeeeeeee !!

Combine that with high stress levels, poor cardiac health, and a cocktail of various drugs in his system, and this could be very ugly. He will get excellent care at Walter Reed, but the man is a 74 year old in bad shape. If he got unlucky enough to actually get a severe case, this is going to be ugly. The speed they are moving with suggests that it is a major case.
