Looks like Trump and his GOP just can't catch a break even with a friendly SCOTUS:

Supreme Court rejects GOP attempt to require mail-in ballots be received by Election Day in Pennsylvania

Of course the fact that it was a tie shows just how things are going to go once that People of Praise dipshit is rammed into her seat, but still it's nice to see.
This is such good news, but also such troubling news. Biden needs a blowout win.

    And there it is!

Commission approves rules to mute mics at final Trump-Biden debate

Let me make this 100% clear: this is not changing the rules. This is enforcing the rules that Trump agreed to. As called out by Wallace, to his face, personally.

If Trump chooses to bail and run like anyone who's never responded to my 24-hour challenges yet thinks he's taken seriously here, i.e. a craven coward, that's on him. Actions have consequences. Agree to follow the rules, fine, then follow through or face consequences.

Both campaigns this week again reaffirmed their agreement to the two-minute, uninterrupted rule. The Commission is announcing today that in order to enforce this agreed upon rule, the only candidate whose microphone will be open during these two-minute periods is the candidate who has the floor under the rules.

For the balance of each segment, which by design is intended to be dedicated to open discussion, both candidates’ microphones will be open
Trump has lost any semblance of control here. He challenged the location, he challenged the questions, he's attacked both moderators so far, and now he's going to have his mic cut if he tries the only debate strategy he has.

And he brought it all on himself.

Ugh though. When has Trump ever faced real consequences? He bailed out of the last debate and was rewarded by NBC with his own town hall. I'm sure someone will reward him with whatever he decides to do here too.

Yeah, which he lost. It was hilarious. Trump lost a debate in which he was the only participant.

he lost the debate, comically, but still might end up winning the election through cheating with this new supreme court bitch.

This is seriously a fantastic development. Trump cannot afford to skip this debate so these rules are going to be shoved down his throat and he will more than likely implode during the debate - but let's hope not (remember: we don't want him to die until after he's won the election). The rules designation is perfect - two minutes uninterrupted is now being fully enforced, and Biden will benefit from this tremendously, while Trump will suffer (see also stew) because he'll have to hear 12 uninterrupted minutes of how he's failed the American People. If I were on Biden's planning team, I would curtail each opening segment to a full 1.5 minutes of trashing Trump. Trump will NOT be able to handle this kind of kick-to-the-groin-honesty, and it will dramatically (and negatively) affect his overall debate performance - which was already going to be awful. Biden, on the other hand, will benefit because he won't be frustrated by 71 interruptions like last time, so his normally cool/calm demeanor will last longer.

I would bet money trump skips the debate cause he is pissed off he won't be able to rave and rant during the statement part of the debate.

Trump is coming to California this Sunday. Let me put this in very clear term "The only reason a presidential candidate should be in California in late October is if the GPS breaks or if he is so desperate for money that he has no F...ING choice."

California! The piggy bank for both the Republican and Democratic parties.

One thing I don't understand about the laptop story (besides ow anyone can believe it - it stinks worse than a room full of teenage boys who haven't washed in a month) is who still saves emails to their computers? I have a number of email accounts and they are entirely online now. I haven't had an email that dowloaded emails to my computer for probably closer to twenty years than ten.

Do people still use email that saves them to their local device?

I'd love to take that bet...but I'm not sure. Trump has put himself in a horrible situation.
    1) He can't defend his record and he can't debate on the issues. Hence, his trying to change the debate topics.
    2) But he can't flee without losing even more ground.

Maybe he heard about the GOP putting up fake ballot boxes and the guy that torched another ballot box and wants to know how to do those things across the country.
