It comes across to me as if some people are a bit too die-hard in their support for the Democratic Party no matter what.

I'm sorry to tell them that the Democratic Party should also have room for the poor people and for working class people, no matter how hard they try to exclude them.

Its pure fanboyism, it's like someone who really REALLY loves a specific brand, or has gotten in deep with some Multi-Level Marketing scam and you cannot tell those people anything negative, they just don't wanna hear it or will ever believe it.

We get the combination of "Its a political party, they have to make compromises and do horse trading, and things like Universal Healthcare, UBI, debt cancellations, all that is pie in the sky, maybe in ten, twenty or thirty years if we win enough elections we can revisit this" with "How dare you not have unwavering devotion, loyalty and cheer for this party, it is the radiant light of civilization, goodness, and all that is holy on this Earth, to even dine to question or doubt is fascism!" kind of thinking.

That would be interesting if Michele Obama did take the offer, but even Biden says he knows she won't and hasn't even hinted at wanting it.

Personally I think it will be Warren, shes even publicly stated if offered the VP position she'll accept.

Side note, I think we'll see Sanders offer a position as well. I think he'll make a good replacement for Ben Carson as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

As an example, the video linked above, makes two interesting statements. One, that the voting for lesser of two evils has been prominent through history and hat we are to imagine it leads to nuclear war. The thing is, that is a false dichotomy. What if at some point in history, a candidate deserves such ire? What if a candidate is presented as a racist oligarch, who is actually a racist oligarch?

The actual politics that video endorses, is to not campaign on personal merit, but to convince enough people to not vote for your opponents. It makes it so Trump doesn’t have to present policy, all he has to do is chant ‘lock her up’ and troll Bernie supporters to not vote Biden, as he has been doing.

Exactly. Biden by himself puts every battleground state into play, and a few of the southern/eastern states trouble spots. Picking a non-white female running mate will galvanize the entire DNC - even if for no other reason that to be galvanized (like an emotional/political snowball effect).

The GOP's only hope at this point is two-fold. Voter suppression in key states/counties, like we saw in WI - or BARRing that (yes, I went there), they will outright steal those same states/counties through key GOP SecStates and County Commissioners.

Nov 3 and the days leading up to and after will be some of the most important days in our country's history.

She would be a great progressive choice - as well as meeting the female requirement that he promised. Even with her brother's death, I still think it will be Abrams - but you make a VERY good point.

Agreed re Michelle - Biden did say he'd take her in a heartbeat, but at the same time knows she would never accept.

It would be good/great to either hint or leak or outright say that Sanders will be offered a cabinet position in the Biden administration. Would go a long ways to uniting the DNC.

There are five or six solid Senate seats that are going to be competitive now in Nov. I can't imagine a world where McConnell would lose his seat, but it would be an amazing one to live in.
