Not sure why it "astounds" you. It's been known for ages that the GOP lose when more people are able to vote. It makes perfect sense from the standpoint of the morally corrupt GOP.

The only reason that Republicans have power right now is because our elections are completely fucked by dark money and voter suppression.

    Stack the Supreme Court.

Pass election reform to get rid of dark money and ban many voter suppression tactics. Don't make November 4th the only vote day, make it the day voting ENDS. Add PR and DC as two new states to add +4 Senate seats.

Let Republicans sue and let the newly stacked Supreme Court rule that it's constitutional.

Pass laws limiting / curtailing the spread of fake information. Remember how Fox was forced to admit that Fucker Tarlson shouldn't be believed by any rational person? FORCE these fuckers to air a disclaimer that these shows are FAKE NEWS after every commercial break.

You are then banishing the Republican party to minority where they belong.
LMAO you really think they will? Democrats have shown themselves to be spineless when it comes to combatting the other side, over and over and over. Why, exactly, do you think next time will be different. Especially with center right Joe Biden at the helm.

If this were Bernie or Warren at the helm, this would be a different discussion.

For me it will be difficult regardless given the difference in time zones, but it's also dependent on the earlier races. If Biden somehow grabs both Pennsylvania and Florida then I'm probably going to be at least much more relaxed.

If they don't, there's a huge crop of progressive Democratic candidates that are up and coming that can replace older, more centrist liberals. And if they do take the Senate/WH and don't functionally CTRL-C + CTRL-V HR1 that they passed in 2018 during the first year, or at least the first term, that will be a clear signal that it was just a bag of hot air and we can vote out the liars and vote in more folks that will actually vote for electoral/campaign finance reform.

Tell it to our consistently spineless democratic leadership.

Naw man, it was just probably all hidden behind passwords and encrypted. Their best hackers are working 24/7 to unlock everything!

Because I love keeping audio recordings of conversations where I'm discussing potentially corrupt/illegal dealings on my work/home computers with titles like "Most Genius Shit Ever" because I fuckin love the smell of my own farts.

I mean, short of a violent revolution, what do you propose? Don't get me wrong, I think the US could do with a revolution (non-violent) and a serious revisiting of a lot of the core foundations of this country and the assumptions we make based off of them. But that's unlikely, so we'll work with what we have until it becomes totally unworkable.

I am not even sure what to say about it anymore; it is like, the more overtly stupid it is, the more it gathers belief. Not sure if it is a reflection of the stupidity of those who it caters to, or if it is "journalists" with very limited imagination.

I'm starting to feel like this is the political version of trying to make fetch happen. You are too late and no one cares about this Hunter Biden nonsense. No one believes you guys. And, frankly, even if it was all 100% true that's how much people dislike Trump -- they don't care about Biden they just want Trump gone.

Yeah, personally I agree that the GOP in person voting won't be able to undo the blue surge ahead of the election. We should still act like Trump will win though and still vote like our lives depend on it.

But again, it's also important for the media to report this clearly. If they report that Trump won the in person vote they need to be VERY clear about how much if any of the early and mail in votes are included in that. Otherwise it's going to be a confusing mess of people not understanding which states are actually done counting votes.

It's like they literally forgot he was LITERALLY IMPEACHED for fishing for dirt on Hunter and Joe Biden.

And now he's brazenly just using the disinfo he got in that fishing expedition to try and make anything stick. Like.....what? I thought you were denying this shit that anything you did in Ukraine was wrong, and now you're literally using info you got in the Ukraine from a Russian Intelligence agent, THROUGH YOUR PERSONAL LAWYER WHO HAS NO ROLE IN THIS ADMINISTRATION.

You can't pin this on Trump, there's nothing directly tying him to it! Even if his personal lawyer, who he sent to Ukraine specifically to dig up dirt on Hunter Biden, is the one orchestrating all of this.

That it's so fuckin weak and pathetic is the best part to me. Well, that and the fact that the Republican party writ-large seems to think that this is all just the bees knees and not a serious problem.

I wonder what's gonna happen when Democrats start fishing for and unleashing all kinds of foreign disinformation on Republican candidates. Because they abso-fuckin-lutely should. Republicans want to play by their own rules, Democrats should oblige them and play by the same set of rules.

    It's also true in CT.

For federal seats, their nominee is almost always the Democratic nominee as well, but for local and state level seats they are often running their own candidates.

This is how legitimate 3rd parties build support in a FPTP system, and we should encourage this wherever possible.

Oh we totally need a revolution. I'm baffled why we'll go into the streets for racial issues (totally justified) but not go into the streets for wealth inequality and insane housing costs. I suppose the racial protests were ignited by a couple key events, I often wonder what sort of events would need to happen to get us out on the street for economic issues.

I just wish we'd fucking start playing ball instead of still "taking the high road" or whatever the way too old fucks in the democratic leadership think. We're not gonna win this by being nice to the other side.

The average human and most humans in general don’t want to die or have the capacity to kill someone.

Especially when that someone is someone you possibly have known your whole life.

Trump Pulls Florida Ads as Cash-Poor Campaign Enters Final Week

    Haha

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...rtan-dhp-feeds
(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump’s campaign has all but pulled its advertising out of Florida, as it stakes its relatively small bank account on the industrial northern states that carried him to victory in 2016.

Since the beginning of the fall campaign on Labor Day, Trump has cut $24 million from his national ad budget, while former Vice President Joe Biden has added $197 million. Biden has outspent Trump three-to-one over that time.

Trump is now placing his final bet on just four battleground states: Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Polls show he’s down in all those states but Ohio, where it’s effectively even.
