Yeah, the people are horrible and wrong, and not the system that has it as "vote main party or you're throwing it away". Surely, and definitely an outsider is the only one capable of seeing that literally all of america is fascists.

No they are not, that's absurd.

It falls entirely within the executive branch, and the Senate doesn't weigh in on convictions of private people.

The SDNY is free to go after him.

I mean, that would be the "institutionally" part of being broken.

    That remains to be seen.

Biden still hasn’t won yet. If he does win and four years go by with zero action taken against trump or he moves to pardon, then we can criticize him and his administration for that. But nothing, not even the election, has been resolved yet.

Of course NY will go after him, but that won't land him in prison. That's delusional.

For everyone saying nothing can happen to Trump because nothing's happened to him right now. Here's the thing; you can't indict a SITTING President. He's a civilian once he's out of office. The Senate doesn't have any stranglehold at that point. It's purely down to a State AG at that point assuming the Biden AG isn't holding them back. But again, there is a LOT of time to go. Nothing is decided. Take a step back for now.

You don't have to pardon him to let him get away with it.

He can do that without working 70 hours a week.

What did Obama do when he left office? he took a fucking vacation, and relaxed.

    Bush did the same.

    So did Clinton.

Sure, they'll have their speaking engagements, but I don't see Trump being a workaholic after he gets out, whenever that may be.

True this is really counting your chickens before they hatch Biden has to win first.

He isn't alone Ivanka, Don Jr. and a number of the vampires around him will also be part of the process. Trump Inc is all going to be about milking the GOP.

Trump won't be going to jail, if he loses - that will be it and it will be in nobody's interest to try and make anything more than that out of it.

Again, according to what (also, 3 houses, tf?)? The legislature has, in general, nothing to do with decisions to investigate/prosecute. You also didn't answer the part about NYS' investigation.

Aside from Georgia which could go either way in theory Biden should have the advantage in all the states now because they are now allowed to count the mail in ballots. That's why Trump is already suing to stop the count in all the states remaining.

But his doj can get out of the way of states bringing charges. Right now with the FBI actively contesting these investigations it makes everything take forever because they are suing and blocking at every step. A biden DOJ would have no reason to deny those requests which could speed things along a lot.
