Yep, it's sort of damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don't, not what the Founders were going for. In the absence of increased campaigning fairness, I'll side with the presidential election being representative of the people, rather than the EC compromise.

I hope there won't be any bloodshed over the election results, from any side.
Unsure how explosive it is over there right now.

Perk of Biden winning and Trump losing? We're getting Jill Biden (a doctor and educator) and losing Melania Trump (bitch and useless first lady). I think we're gonna have an active First Lady again doing positive things.
Just don't reply to me. Please. If you can help it.

Them not calling it at this point is just out of fear for feeling responsible for inciting trumper riots.

    It's over.

all this talk of "dems need to go door to door to promote socialism!" is exactly why those things need to be promoted at a local & state level first before trying on the national stage. think of boiling a frog, gradual acceptance.

Networks aren't calling this because they want to synchronize their calls. Once Maricopa drops they'll all call AZ and then NV giving Biden the presidency.

I believe his "source" was Trump himself when he went on that Twitter rant yesterday claiming various states in his name.

A decent point. California could hypothetically heavily tax the rich to subsidize rents, for example. It would be massively popular here.

How little is being done about affordable housing in deep blue Cali is bonkers.

also, they only had the first 13 states to consider at the time.

He's already won PA. Trump has no road to reclaim PA. That alone ends it.

So far? Things seem pretty calm. We'll have to see if that changes if/when news stations start actually calling it for Biden. I don't know if there's any legitimacy to them holding out calling it now (all evidence points to him being the victor, he's ahead in every single one of the four states he'd only need to win two of to win, and the remaining incoming votes in those states are all mail-in ballots which I believe have favored Biden this entire time.) Perhaps they're milking it for ratings, perhaps they genuinely believe there's a chance Trump might take this back somehow. All I know is I'll feel much better once it's actually called for Biden.

I'm sure law enforcement is on high alert. They've caught one or two cases of people who might have intended to incite violence already. And as I've noted before, if there was any "major stirring of organized right-wing violence" brewing, I'm sure the FBI is watching that shit like a hawk ready to spring before it comes to anything (like they did with the attempted governor kidnappings.)

First they should make it hard for the filthy rich to transcend state limits. Other wise they would jus leave the state even the country just so they can keep hoarding their wealth.
