AOC's name is shit at the moment.
The one whose name seems untouched is Pelosi.; Pelosi floats above Democrats’ civil war
And between the heat she's getting and the lack of support, AOC said she's thinking of quitting.

“Leadership: Whatever happens, you’re responsible. If it doesn’t happen, you’re responsible.” -- Donald J. Trump, 2013
"I don't take responsibility at all." -- Donald J. Trump, 2020
That article looks like it got paid for by.....it's a cheap article really.
These fake moderates (which they are) are fighting a losing battle against the likes of AOC. All of the things that Trump said he would do in his first term minus the racisme (which is a major difference in terms of how you do things) is what AOC and Sanders are aiming for.
Obama's won his first term with the same rhetoric as what AOC and Sanders are shouting now because it a winning strategy.
I was reading the other day that back before Reagan ran they were trying to court John Wayne - who'd ingratiated himself to conservatives forming a group that testified in the HUAC in the McCarthy era, joined the John Birch Society and (let's not forget) openly identified as a white supremacist in a Playboy interview.
Also there's Arnold Schwarzenegger though these days he looks like a progressive lol.
So yeah, they've always been like this. All their venomous barbs about Hollywood are rooted in bitter jealousy.

The article seems pretty mild actually, all it says is that progressive Democrats and establishment candidates are feuding. If anything its mention of the progressives mounting primary challenges puts AOC et al in a strong light. And it also says Pelosi is doing well for herself, but that's kind of an obvious observation at this point, she's as seasoned an operative as you can get so of course she's positioned herself advantageously. Isn't she on her way out anyway? So why would anyone waste ammunition on her?

Frankly the reason why many aspects of the political system are the way they are is because special interest groups centuries ago refused to sign up to the US unless they got special protections, privileges and power. Modern Americans are still held to the terms of a deal cut to the advantage of long dead slavers.

This is the understatement of the century. Trump is a product of the far right propaganda machine, not its cause. Their entire movement and everything about them is based on lies. They react to the truth the way a vampire reacts to holy water.
The Republican base is a group of people that are extremely hard to reason with, but extremely easy to fool.
Oh, would you look at this: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ead-voter.html
So Cuckerson gets on his show and starts reading the names of dead people voting. One of the names read is James Blalock, who died 14 years ago.
He reads these names and claims their proof of voter fraud for Biden.
BUT GET THIS!
94-year old Agnes Blalock happens to be watching Fox news that night.
Being the honest lady that she is, she spoke up about the incident.
You see, Agnes wanted to honor her husband, so when she voted, she voted as Mrs. James Blalock.
She also voted for Trump.
Womp womp Cuckerson, heir to the Swanson empire. This is one oligarch that needs to fuck off and go crawl under a rock at his Hamptons estate.
These traitors need to stop trying to divide and destroy America.
There was another in 2008 primary, that was the initial front runner (think Jeb in 2016):

They were also prepping a California Republican, who had an untimely demise:

It isn't nitpicking. You're saying she lied on her ballot and possibly (law?) committed election fraud. And it's hard to argue with that, considering she put someone else's name on her ballot.

Like, I get we want to take a hard stance on things because we've seen too often cases where POC vote and something happens and they get thrown in prison for voting. Regardless of age, skin color, etc. It wasn't an intentional case of election fraud and she shouldn't be prosecuted or thrown in prison over it.
Very likely, when she was married (she is 94), she is from a time when things like her checkbook probably read "Mr and Mrs. James Blalock".
The whole reason we have people taking signatures and watching identification is for reasons like this. If they wanted her to sign it as Agnes Blalock and not Mrs. James Blalock, it should've been handled at the time she voted. It shouldn't have gotten to a point where a big spectacle is made on national news as fake proof of widespread voter fraud.

I've watched her play Among Us. Dude better watch out because her and Omar are natural born killaz.

It's more about the message it is trying to send. Look at me, everybody is fethinin and I'm the adult.
Well no, only one side is trying to fight really.
The likes of AOC are correct that democrats lost a battle that they should have won this time. I mean, by any objective measurement Trump left a bigger mess then what Bush left and still Democrats lost allot of important battles.
These fake moderates are a dying breed because they aren't really moderates, they are just lazy.
Being a moderate doesn't mean that you "compromise with horrible monsters", being a moderate means that your open to different ideas.
AOC is the true moderate as far as I can tell.

Meh AL Franken was funny, much more likable.
This might be the strongest rebuke of Trumpism I have seen from a GOP member:
President Trump's GOP wall of support is cracking

In making his argument, Lankford noted that after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the bipartisan committee that investigated them found that the compressed time frame for the transition after the contested 2000 election may have contributed to the lack of preparedness for the attack.

Clyburn and others however aren't wondering
House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn isn't happy with his Democratic caucus for allowing slogans to dominate the narrative about their party, telling "Axios on HBO" that phrases like "defund the police" cost them crucial seats in the House and Senate.
"That phrase — 'defund the police' — cost Jaime Harrison tremendously,"
"Stop sloganeering," he said. "Sloganeering kills people. Sloganeering destroys movements. Stop sloganeering. And let's go about the business of representing people and building hopes and aspirations for people."
Rep. Marc Veasey of Texas said these slogans gave Republicans ammunition to use in “commercial after commercial” against their candidates.
Rep. Abigail Spanberger, who eked out a re-election victory in Virginia, took aim at her colleagues who have embraced the "defund the police" movement and said Democrats needed to be better at fighting the "socialism" label.
I'm sure you want to believe that.
AOC needs to stop whining...and follow Sanders' example and shut the hell up.
So in the end, it looks like 538 got every state but North Carolina and Florida right. 54 out of 56, counting special state districts and DC. Will that be enough to convince Republican flat earthers to trust science and reason and the god damn news again? I doubt it.
I get what you're going for, but this is a bad example. Al Franken was not just an SNL writer, but he was also a political activist, getting a graduate degree in political science from Harvard. He could have been a complete nobody in the entertainment circle, and still highly qualified.
EDIT: P.S. Al Franken, amongst other things, wrote "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" and while doing so did a great job in spearing Republican hypocrisy. Amongst other things, he proved that Rush Limbaugh never voted for Reagan.
