The problem is that this isn't a massive shift for the USA. It's a return to traditional patterns.

It bears repeating yet again that the Nazi Reich explicitly cited American Jim Crow race laws as the inspiration for their own, leading to the Holocaust. The Reich was built off the American model. Hell, this is probably why it took the USA being directly attacked before the USA picked a goddamned side in the war.

The idea that the USA has ever been anti-fascist is . . . not historically accurate. Which is why the current attempt to demonize anti-fascism in general shouldn't be a surprise. To those parts of the USA, anti-fascism is anti-americanism. Because to them, fascism is America.

Seems to be that way. They signed a legal document to certify the election and it is now past the certification date. Don't see what legal ground they would have to try to do a take backsie I think they just want attention and to obfuscate what they did so they don't get hounded by trump people.
